Good electoral strategy since this will ultimately push more people into homelessness, and nothing turns a liberal into a reactionary faster than seeing a homeless person.

It might have worked, the thing is Democrats had a significant pro-Israel faction as well, which they might have alienated in an attempt to keep Uncommitted on board. Since the election some elected Dems have switched parties because they claim Dems aren't pro-Israel enough.

It think it was a stunt to help Trump get reelected. Bush got reelected after Saddam Hussein's capture and Obama got reelected after Osama Bin Laden's assassination, so Trump probably hoped presiding over something like that would seal the deal on a 2nd term.

I hope you're right. He might get a rally around the flag boost but I don't think there's nearly as much appetite for war in the U.S. now as there was in 2002-'03, and a major war in the middle east will likely cause oil prices to skyrocket.

More like 7 years. Arguably 7 months since the 2020 stimulus checks probably helped Trump last November.

Probably neither. It would probably lead to initial backlash like the ACA, then if it could survive a few years, become popular. Then Republicans would try to repeal it and face backlash for that for an election cycle or 2.

Still not as bad as when northwest airlines got rid of this logo

More than pissing off your loyal voters, I can't help but think it must be very offputting to cross pressured and marginal voters, who must see them from time to time given how many of these e-mails there are

Republicans' electoral dominance in the Hawkeye State may be losing its acuity.

The Gem State just might prove to be a sapphire next November

It was a very nice apartment, although the insulation wasn't the greatest so it got pretty cold during the winter and was expensive to heat. This was in Dubuque, Iowa.

I actually used to live in a 1-bedroom apartment that had that. Separate kitchen, living room, and a small dining-room type room between the kitchen and living room, all in addition to the bedroom

If anything Trump will probably get a rally around the flag boost from starting a war with Iran just like Bush did with Iraq

Didn't Trump carry Flushing last year?

Currently there are no true flyover states. Delaware was one for a while, but Wilmington, Delaware has scheduled airline service now (they've had it on and off over the years).

I do that regularly and have always been happy with the results. Sorry it didn't turn out well for you.

I don't think where I live now has one, but I'm originally from Madison, Wisconsin where it's definitely Garbage.

Yes, I've noticed a lot of cons don't think many people sincerely disagree with them but only claim to for "woke points"

Republicans' electoral dominance in Oklahoma may be ending sooner than you think.

Absolutely. The pro-life movement is arguably another example of a successful post-1960s protest movement now that Roe vs. Wade has been overturned, though I don't think public opinion on abortion has shifted in their favor much over the last few decades.

It might even be a good electoral strategy considering Democrats collapsed in most major cities last year

Yes, I've never heard the term Dockleaf used in the U.S. The first time I ever saw it was in a Redwall book.

I was taught that plantain (Plantago genus, not the fruit) leaves provide succor from nettle stings. I grew up in Wisconsin. Never heard that about dockleaves though.

I specifically remember him talking about "reducing the number of abortions" during the 2008 campaign
