It's fine, great actually and totally appropriate. A decade ago I had issues calling thay era "retro" but now I embrace it and I'm glad there are people discovering it and/or reliving it.

That's especially hilarious to me because they're probably one of those weirdos that swear the KJV Bible is the only "true" version

Keep an eye on Tricky Madness on Steam, it's early access now but looking very promising

Gotta agree. Tricky gets a lot of attention and nostalgia but I spent *way* more time on 3. I'm currently learning the 2012 version since I missed that one in its prime, but I love it so far

For the Europeans it was just another ordinary day in January. They missed the whole thing.

That's Tom Thumb for me but they don't have it yet either

Only if I get to put that sticker on it, everyone will need to know that it's a future machine

However, it was worth buying the crappy helicopter because, toon accuracy be damned, the wings are actually really cool

I'm kinda not in the mood to deal with how fiddly he is right now. Gonna need a closeup video running slowly to learn how the feet transform into helicopter mode, because those instructions are useless. Bot mode is nice though

Very good. Has a simplicity a lot of 3rd party toys lack, very tactile and fun to mess with, and I personally like flipping the classic Devastator formula around without going to a scramble-city type setup.

That's enough out of you, go be a pedantic asshole somewhere else

What was wave 1? I seem to have missed this altogether

I could argue about the progressions that happened without prices doubling but you're missing the point: IDGAF *why* and no reasoning will make me. That's why us old people are crochety about it.

Earthrise took a Classics deluxe with minimal improvements and slapped a voyager price tag on it, so I'm gonna press X to doubt and skip the cutscene here

DeathCobra has been sitting at "international flight arrived" since May 1, so I'm starting to get nervous

I knew it was over in game 5 but they had to fuck around and give me hope with game 6

It feels like the Dems are trying to workshop some things, but it feels a little weak and a bit late. They need to get sharper and faster at this

The lack of detail on the legs is a lot more noticeable when you compare them. Planet X might still be my desert island choice in spite of its flaws. Really can't wait to see TC, Skywarp just didn't get good color treatment in WFC.

Tough to choose a favorite, the PX is still the "MP-ish" one with all the little details, the deluxe still has the most cohesive alt mode, transformation on the voyager is fun and if it weren't for the anemic wings it might have dethroned the others. As it stands they're all good in different ways

Yeah I need to skeet about books and video games more. I'm almost done with this one, haven't decided what to read next

Check out Tricky Madness, at least someone is trying to bring back the soul of SSX

Finally fixed it I think. You have to find the EA background service and uncheck "interact with desktop". Something labeled as a background service shouldn't need to interact with the desktop because then it wouldn't be a fucking background service now would it?
Fucking morons. Thanks EA.

I liked the change they did to the front end in 2005, gave it a slightly more angular/meaner look.

Apparently that struck a nerve with a useful idiot who wants to keep digging shit up, so we'll just block and move on
