But it was provoked by the Americans. And they knew it was coming.

Well not really. The stupid part was Pearl Harbour. Smarter would have been to take Midway island. No American would have given a shit then

You implied it was a Japanese decision. The reality it was an American decision to place embargo’s So from best of buddies to not so best of buddies
comment in response to

Because the USA and Japan were buddies while Japan was blasting the shit out of China and even the allies in Hong Kong that’s why

I did read it for sure. Now there are facts and then there is revisionist history. US historians are not really known for the facts. Much the same as Russians. So the history only gets told by the victors in the way they want to tell it

Did I mention the $billions in federal monies given to Alberta? Just add it all into the pile of Alberta government waste and corruption.

So who is this god guy? Fred? Tom? Some say Ra. Others say other names. Or is this some figment of some creative writers imagination. Maybe we might dig up the bones of this god guy one day. All I know is this god guy sure likes killing people, treating others like shit, and seems to hate the world

Now if we just spend it in Canada on our economy then all Canadians are better off. Next up. Corporate greed?? Or new partnerships with other like minded nations?? 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💪💪💪💪🇺🇦🇺🇦👏👏

Are you sure about that? Seems to me that the USA and Japan were the best of buddies while Japan was blasting the shit out of China and other Asian countries. It wasn’t until they were encroaching on US “national interests” namely oil and rubber that the USA placed an embargo. So who did what??

Well let’s see. At first people bought the BS. Then realized it was all BS. Now they are going to feel the reality of the BS. Ratings???? Any guesses

The sad reality is that your elected representatives just turn a blind eye to your countries destruction. I am sure many are gleeful. True “patriots”

Just the facts

So confederate flags, Trump flags and beating the cops with American flags are what this Oklahoma senator seems to be fine with. And you wonder why America is so screwed up. You really don’t have to look very far.

About 33 million Americans. That’s who

Well let me see. The Crowsnest was seen as a world class trout fishing area highly protective by all the wildlife organizations in Alberta. Now it seems those “conservation” guys only care about how big a gun they have and how much land they can destroy with there ATV’s. So a little more pollution??

That’s the thing. They say private is cheaper but the reality is it is not. Less government is good. Reality it’s only good for corporations. That sales pitch always works for the ignorant. So now everything costs more. Blame Ottawa. $millions pouring out the door. Blame Ottawa. It’s insanity

I don’t have to know. Read my bio. I worked for them all and built much of what you see today. I sat in their offices and most every engineering office. So I kind of know how it all works and what reality is. Average Albertans haven’t got a clue

Well let’s just say that king Pete got to sit on every board of directors after he left politics. He sold us out on the first free trade agreement. But we loved him so much for screwing us we named a mountain and a park after him. And all downhill from there

Here is always the issue. We SHOULD be the richest province but we are not. And why aren’t we? And it’s not Ottawa. Misinformation is just as bad as propaganda in my book
comment in response to

I really can’t understand why you, a supposed smart person, can’t understand this is not just TACO man. This is the rot, corruption and all things bad that have been in the underbelly of the USA for 100’s of years. All this American “exceptionalism” has been just propaganda that you contribute to.

First ones out. The API. The Russian lifeline of their economy. Last ones out. MacDonalds. Not exactly an economic threat

So what do we see now in the USA? Drooling over exploitation of Russia and Ukraine. Putin plays them like a fiddle. Never in a million years will Putin let capitalists into Russia.
comment in response to
post
The West had a lot to do with that. Going from an authoritarian rule to a democracy was never allowed to happen because the first ones in were the capitalists drooling over exploitation. So pretty easy pickings for Putin
comment in response to

The oil industry never wanted East/West pipelines for the obvious reasons. Only southern pipelines. They, including Alberta, fought hard against for years. So you might want to not assume too much. Remember MAGA Smith is just an O&G mouth piece.
comment in response to

Well let me try this one more time. Production cost are $21 /bbl. Selling at $53 / bbl. WTI $62 /bbl. Times 4mm per day. Can anyone in Alberta do math? I know for sure MAGA Smith can’t.

Now in saying that in all my time spent in Ukraine I never ever saw a disparaging thing about anybody’s religious beliefs. In fact just the opposite. The same with the language. In fact most spoke Russian as well so more a dual language like Canada. The total opposite of what the media says

What’s amazing to me is that the Russian empire contained the pale of settlement which most normal Jews should be aware of. And it’s not just Ukraine that doesn’t want Russian dominance. There is so much misinformation/disinformation that the Russians are experts at. They just need the gullible.
comment in response to

Well I just consider that a radical left wing, communist socialist long haired hippie carpenter had his sorry ass nailed to a cross by a bunch of republicans and was sold out by the capitalists. And we wear symbols and attend events to celebrate it. Go figure
comment in response to

I think you have it backwards. Putin needs the Orthodox Church. Their leader wants his flock back. It’s all about power and greed in religion. The war really began when the Ukrainians broke away from the Russian Orthodox Church. The Ukrainian Jews are called Nazis. The Tatars are a non people.
comment in response to

Now immigrants? Mostly of a Christian faith. Hoping for a better life escaping a USA created mess. That is America today. And going to get worse.
comment in response to

You don’t have to look far to see the results. Ukraine war. Christians killing Christians. Ethnic cleansing of the Jews and Tatars. Palestinian war. Ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. Now it’s just spectator sport cheered on by Christians. Go figure

You are absolutely right. It’s why I choke on some pope preaching about peace when throughout history it was responsible for every atrocity known to man. And continues to this day
comment in response to

It’s always been that way. It’s not really the religion it is actually the faith leaders. A flock is easily manipulated.

Well if they all showed a spine then the Republican Party might have been saved. Now much easier to prosecute by taking the politics out of the equation
comment in response to

That was their excuse. Just turned into a 3 ring political circus instead. And as we witnessed first hand how the justice system works when you have money. The whole chain of events began with elected officials selling out their country for greed and power. That’s just a fact
comment in response to
post
I beg to differ. Let’s try Mitch McConnell for starters. What about Kevin McCarthy for another or Jimmy “justice” Jorden. To single out just one person for blame ignores the fact that there was an entire body of elected officials who turned a blind eye to their country. These are the enablers
comment in response to

So speaking facts is not a good thing anymore in the media? Or is it all about the money? Interestingly enough, controlling the media is what Russia does best. Seems western governments are adopting the same strategy using money rather than brute force to achieve its goals.
comment in response to
post
Not really true. Religion is a main driver of rage politics. As we see in Alberta the zealots are achieving their goals now of religious domination over most everything exactly the same as the USA. It’s a cult manipulated by corporations, zealots, and the greedy with specific goals of their own

The simple answer is electrical transmission, a critical infrastructure, is not publicly owned. So here we go again taking taxpayer dollars to subsidize corporations with no return on investment. In business if you invest in something you own it. People want government to run like a business???
comment in response to
post
Well let’s just stop and think for more than 30 seconds. Back in 2006 a major O&G corporation built a waste heat recovery unit at site which produced enough electricity for its entire operation. It could not provide any more electricity to the grid because of lack of grid capability. So you ask why?
comment in response to

Why don’t people ever look at dollar value when talking about tariff BS? TACO man can put a 30% value added tax on Canadian stuff and it would still be cheaper to buy Canadian based on the dollar. What is really crazy is Canadians buying American stuff at 40% more. Who are the stupid ones??
comment in response to
post
Let’s be very clear eyed about tariffs for all Americans. This “free trade” BS has been going on for nearly 40 years heavily favouring the USA. So in that time frame there has been both parties in power. Seems to me there was this person Pelosi bragging about the great deal the USA got. Quit crying
comment in response to

Hmm. Maybe look around the world and see all of the messes the USA has made in the name of “national security, defending democracies” etc. when you are not even a democracy yourselves. Sometimes you need to step back and see things with fresh eyes
comment in response to

Now let’s see. Your just figuring out now that TACO man is lying to the people? Can I humbly ask which planet you came from?
comment in response to

Not really. It’s easier to see when you have just been an observer from a different country. When you get to working with Americans the attitude of ignorance and arrogance abounds. If you look at history it’s always been there too. You don’t see it because you live it every day
