Growing up (in Canada) we were taught it was Remembrance Day: a solemn day of reflection for all those who gave their lives, to hope that it never happens again and to thank those who are willing to defend us if it does.

When my brother exhausted all medical resources here in Boston he attended a medical grand rounds at HMS where Dr. Mignot was speaking. All his Boston MD’s were in the audience. Afterwards he approached him & Minot said “I know about you. I want to see you at Stanford”.
