That's what I was wondering, why would anyone buy a Tesla? But then again, right before Canada ended their Tesla incentive there was an unusual spike in Tesla sales, which seems fraudulent.

Why isn't anyone calling this out as treason? Betraying our country and our Constitution.

We need to fight fascism first and then we can work on replacing all the weak, and mostly old, democrats.

The South Korean president declared Martial law and he's in prison right now. Maybe there's hope?

I'm sure people will be there too, but our country is very big and not all of us can afford travel last minute.

People have been talking about it for a bit now. This is what is posted: 50 states, 50 protests. At your states' Capitol. All day. February 5th, 2025

Yes, those comments are absurd, but we have a serious problem with lack of ATCs.

January 20: FAA director fired January 21: Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen January 22: Aviation Safety Advisory Committee disbanded January 28: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees January 29: First American mid-air collision in 16 years

They stated that normally one ATC would handle military aircrafts and another handled commercial. The same person was talking with the military aircraft and commercial because of being understaffed. Yes, 67 people are dead. That has been confirmed.
comment in response to post
Isn't it political when the government is supposed to prevent things like this from happening? i.e. train and hire more air traffic controllers.

The only tangible thing I can think of is to put a lot of pressure on your representatives, both democrat and republican.

CEOs aren't usually good people though. They're also mostly white.

This is old news.

Yeah... let's not blame generations. It's just uneducated vs educated.
comment in response to post
Yes exactly, these kids are really good people. I was replying to the comment that they don't vote.

Remember Facebook is linked to the genocide in Myanmar. All these platforms just promote misinformation.

Some of them are still in high school.

In 2020, Trump requested that TikTok be banned because of security risks. I believe Josh Hawley introduced the bill. So since it started under Trump's last term, it seems like Biden is just passing it back to him. Bills start and must pass in the Senate and Congress before the President.

If Moderna is worth billions, why do they need taxpayer money?
comment in response to post
This is one of many reports that Biden did not enforce the TikTok ban. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

DTLA has built a lot of high rises recently, but because of earthquakes I don't think that would be the norm in most towns.

It says he "repeatedly interrupted" so he was probably being unruly. Doesn't seem it was about the question he was asking, just poor behavior.

It's never too late.

I would assume anyone who can read.

These transmission towers aren't new and most of the residents have been there for decades. Californians are not going to start fires where their homes are, *especially* during Santa Ana winds. We know what happens.
comment in response to post
Oh great. Does this mean no punishment but just a stern talking to?
comment in response to post
Well, it's not necessarily the city's fault either. These hydrants are for single fires, not to fight wild fires. There just isn't enough water to go on for hours. We normally rely on planes to fight fires on the hills before it reaches homes, but the high winds made that impossible.

The problem is they don't believe in science.

There should be a law that channels that broadcast opinion shows are not allowed to be called "news".
comment in response to post
Perhaps the majority of the population is just sitting back and watching everything collapse as if it's a reality TV show, but they should be fighting for their own rights and well being. We can pressure politicians to do this.

Single payer healthcare would be a better use of everyone's time and money, like what Oregon is doing.

Embarrassing when adults don't show decency and etiquette as if they weren't raised by humans.

So they're immature.

I wouldn't say incels are masculine.

The article says insurers have always paid for reinsurance but couldn't pass that cost to customers in California, which is why they were leaving. Now they can, but in return they have to insure wildfire prone areas.

And pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
comment in response to post
Maybe that's what the commenter originally wanted to say, but to avoid getting banned that's what they came up with?
comment in response to post
This is still not accurate because these age groups do not align with generations.
comment in response to post
Yeah that's an example of abusers hiding the abuse via homeschooling. So this needs to be fixed, where abusers that are caught are not allowed to homeschool.
comment in response to post
I suppose, but Brexit still passed. If the people own the democracy, what is a practical way to force the government to do what we want? In the short term at least.
comment in response to post
People also don't know part of the healthcare insurance costs are advertising. The government does not need to advertise.
comment in response to post
This chart is not by generation. GenX currently is 44-59 years old so this doesn't accurately represent them. It's more like uneducated vs educated because educated GenX voted for Harris.
comment in response to post
Wait, no GenX voted for Reagan because they were still in high school. Reagan started the oligarchy in this country through misleading trickledown effect, convinced the country that government was bad, and began decline in education. It took 40 years to get to where we are today.
comment in response to post
Agree. This works better too if all schools were on the same educational standard. However, if someone at school is the abuser, the child has at least their parents to talk to. If the parents are the abuser, the child has no one if homeschooled.

Why are they not a member of NATO yet when they clearly need to be?

People's March sounds great, but will it accomplish anything?
comment in response to post
I'm not entirely sure whataboutism applies here. I don't see them as trying to excuse Russia's actions, but rather reminding us that Israel is doing the same. So stop both.
comment in response to post
Right, but let's say the child goes to public school. Teachers would notice behavioral changes or bruises/marks. Someone would have a chance to say something. It would also give the child a chance to ask for help if they were not afraid to. Opportunities they might not have.
