For anyone who didn't follow what's different. They removed reference to Yggdrasil, to make it ambigous to it being close to other host computers that exist (or will exist later in canon), most particularly for Kunlun.

The ocean is supposed to be vast, so it would make complete sense for there to be a large variety of species that can be found in the ocean depths.
Also Japan is surrounded by water.

So I guess this means there's is bits of hidden Digimon lore that is established in advance, but we mostly don't know of it because they had yet to find the right timing to create the Digimon that is most suited for it.

It kind of reminded me to how the DS Digimon Story games had made reference to the existence of 13 Royal Knights (in Duftmon's bio), long before the group was considered complete.
And a similar thing with the Olympus XII, with the group's name was mentioned as early as Savers before most members.

I mean, that does exist at times, but still it's like so like pretty petty with comparisons. I'm enjoying the new Digimon stuff, but don't really feel like it's necessary to make a jab at what Pokémon does. Easy to rip on it for being so big and popular, but some still enjoy it.

I'm not perfectly sure about the price yet, but I do realize there's some things to consider in questioning it's worth. I don't think I want to be too greedy, but don't think I should undersell myself.

Don't get me wrong, I will play Time Stranger and enjoy it. I liked the first Digimon Story game, and Cyber Sleuth was decent even if it had a lot I could desire for.
