Mamdani is also hardly an "intern" when he's been in the state's lower house for five years now. He has a political record he can be judged on!

I do wonder who the heck was opposing the Shadow Line _before_ the Toqgers were recruited - they must have needed someone before, right?

the Wheelers, bloody hell. The Wheelers could race around A Clockwork Orange and we'd go "yeah they seem like they should be there"

And his other point keeps being born out: Russia and China are far less likely to back you up. One thing in the current conflict but Russia wouldn't even back up Armenia against Azerbaijan.

in the film, unaware Obvious Catwoman In Disguise was Catwoman and she just left the room, he _as Bruce Wayne_ threatens to kill the villains if they hurt her and I went, huh, I actually believe he would, he could have played a grimmer Batman easy if that had been the brief

It goes its own way as it goes but that's the basis, "hey this stuff done straight would be pretty funny". And this is where it was sad Adam West got (ala Shatner) branded a bad and flat actor, when he's actually showing some real chops and knowing what the material needs & how to play it

I'd read some 1950s Bat-tales (one of which the show adapted!) before seeing it for the first time in full, which made me go "aaaahhhhhh" - because in the early days, the central joke it hinges on is that this is just Silver Age era Batman done _exactly_ like it actually is on the page!
