I’ve driven in Vaughan before and after the speed cameras and they’re very clearly marked??
It’s like: ⚠️⚠️⚠️NEWWWW 40KM/H
⚠️⚠️⚠️SPEED CAMERA IN EFFECT
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️SCHOOL ZONE

How is it fair and safe to give the people who speed the most often less infractions???
Like Mr real estate here who said the tickets were getting out of control… yea maybe because your speeding was out of control??

“RCMP confirmed two people have been charged with arson in relation to forest fires, though neither appears connected to the massive uncontained blazes that have threatened communities across the province.”

That may have been true 10-20 years ago, but China has made pretty big strides in mitigating air pollution in cities by electrifying things, especially their cars and public transit.
They still face some bad smog days but it’s not the everyday norm it used to be.

The point is that even if I don’t play golf or live near a golf course, the problem isn’t solved.
It still has city/region wide effects that will affect me and many others.

Yes I saw somewhere else we were number 1 for a bit

That’s like saying Don’t like fossil fuels? Don’t live near a coal plant. Problem solved.
The Parkinson’s is only one effect. Deciding to use hundreds of acres of land for golf courses can have city wide effects on housing supply, access to green space, water use, biodiversity, etc.

Weird that people want to keep a sport that has terrible environmental, social, land-use, and health repercussions

Do you have a statistic or source for that?

Sorry, the best we can do is regulate and cap e-bike speeds

Ford can silence and remove Indigenous ministers from speaking up, but he won’t be able to silence the increased wildfires and other effects of climate change that will happen under his regressive climate policy.

Yes abundant that too (though tougher to push through)

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR BAR GRAPHS

i think it's more "doing things is not easy at all" and we could make things easier. Some of the biggest abundance supporters are people who build/follow/track housing developments being built, including non-profit/public/affordable ones, and years of hurdles they have to leap through.

Today, Hidden Rivers returns for 2025.
We begin with a kick-off in Christie Pitts (I bought a rainbow parachute). Then, six tours: from the ghost of the Spadina Expressway to the revitalized Don River.
Whether you grew up in Toronto or just got here, Hidden Rivers is for you.
