In an evil campaign I ran, instead of killing the orphan kobold they were sent to kill, they managed to get him to join their side (and faked his death!). But it's usually always the kobolds they try to save!

A rather bleak take. Not everyone has the same mental fortitude and probably spent most of it on work or life. I can play table top for hours but most of my friends are worn out after 2-3. I don't hold it against them. What's invigorating for some, exhausts others. No shame in that :)
