Obama: Imagine if I had done any of this. Imagine if I had pulled Fox News’ credentials. Imagine if I had said to law firms that you will not be allowed into government buildings. It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me

Why don’t I see any updates on the stock market on the front page of Fox News?

Not to beat the dead horse, but imagine if Obama (widely more popular by the way) said this in 2016.

I’m old enough to remember when Tulsi Gabbard was against unnecessary land grabs, and yet here she is taking part in an administration that is pushing to take over Greenland.

There it is! "Putin went through a hell of a lot with me. He went through a phony witch hunt." He is referring to them weathering their collusion becoming public, and now is the big payback: together until the end.

Who pays the bill when you slash spending, increase debt, and extend tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy?

It’s literally the front page of CNN

Sorry, liberals. There was an election in November, and America clearly voted for Elon Musk to have access to your personal taxpayer data.

It’s the reality of our government that checks and balances disappear when institutions decide to stop enforcing them. At the end of the day, it’s all contingent on individuals willing to uphold their oaths. There’s no entity that can provide any enforcement after that.

FBI Uncovers Al-Qaeda Plot To Just Sit Back And Enjoy Collapse Of United States

Please stop saying that Elon Musk is part of the government. Literally nobody voted for him.

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

Luka Doncic is 25. Playing alongside LeBron might be the best thing for him.

The only thing that would make the Luka trade more unbelievable would be if @mcuban.bsky.social himself also just found out about it.

Hold on: The POTUS blamed an aviation tragedy on DEI hiring practices?

Thanks to DEI, we all have to watch Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts play quarterback in the Super Bowl instead of Carson Wentz and Kenny Pickett. by Jason Whitlock and Candace Owens

Trump's attempt to nullify the 14th Amendment's birthright citizenship provision is an attempt to reverse one of the most important outcomes of the Civil War, the idea that American citizenship is not based on race www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Shout out to the media who participated in the most obvious misdirection ever

Right-wing anti-constitutional violence in service of Donald Trump's ambitions to gain and hold power is now fully legal in the United States.

I've given up on trying to understand why Trump supporters are willing to turn a blind eye to these things, all while calling out lesser infractions by those they disagree with. Trump is graded on a curve and MAGA is a cult.

This is truly incredible. In one of his first acts as President, Donald Trump pardons nearly all of the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol, assaulted officers, and called for the murder of the then-VP.

Hillary’s email server would like a word

The sad thing is that there are people who will view Trump as a hero for having no hand in reinstating an app that was only a waste of their time.

In all seriousness: the last 2 weeks of TikTok posturing and Zuck grovelling, combined with the X insanity of the last year, should show you that an app with a feed that you don’t control serves *other people’s interests* - not yours.

It's time for the people aspiring to make it “big” on TikTok to understand that they need to go out and get real jobs.

Special Counsel report: The incoming president of the United States would have been convicted of violent crimes against the Constitution if his case had been brought in a timelier manner.

Striking juxtaposition in Jack Smith's final report: While riot raged, the TV where Trump was sitting showed rioter saying Pence was Trump's last hope to overthrow the election. *Then* Trump issued his tweet directing the mob to target Pence. When informed Pence's life was in danger, he shrugged.

Or that Brendan Carr, Trump's pick to head the FCC, sent Meta a letter right after the election telling Zuck that fact checking was against the First Amendment and Carr was poised to take action if Meta kept fact checking. www.fcc.gov/sites/defaul...

thread

Content moderation on private platforms is imperfect, but the reflexive use of “censorship” in this Zuck statement — a word rendered meaningless by a right-wing propaganda campaign that saw moderating as disadvantaging them — is a purely political statement.

No one is worried about violence at the capitol today. That fact reveals a key difference between our two major political parties.

This happened quite quickly, too. Online first: “antifa” theories immediately popped up, false flag allegations. Quickly moved from memespace to media - this is message testing. Then whataboutism: “BLM protests were violent too!” But those excuses& conspiracy theories *RECOGNIZED HOW BAD IT WAS.*

The fact that there are no concerns of a violent mob storming the Capitol today says everything you need to know about the extremists on each side of the political aisle.

The guy who can’t seem to find the hundreds of thousands of fake accounts on his own platform is going to be LARPing as an intelligence expert again…

Trump appointing industry lobbyists as well as CEOs who will now be able to regulate their own companies (or not) was utterly predictable, so much so that hardly anyone will remark upon it. Oligarchy has arrived www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
