Lunch at work today: Falafel tacos-house-made falafel with spring mix, tomato, cucumber, tzatziki, topped with scallions on flour tortillas. 🍽️🍜🥙

I have to be honest with you, I was road tripping the past week. Two highlights for food, both in Cleveland: Fried pork belly, soy BBQ, chorizo-gochujang aioli, ginger apple slaw. Apple fritter French toast with whiskey sauce and blueberries. Expect recreations of these in the future. 🍽️🍜🐖🍏

Lunch at work: Pineapple-braised, slow roasted pulled pork on a pretzel bun with romaine, onion, pickles, Dijon mustard and scallion aioli. 🍽️🍜🐖

Happy National Doughnut Day, coincidentally on the anniversary of D-Day this year! If I were working today, I totally would have attempted to make fresh doughnuts to celebrate as I had done earlier this month. Instead, I supported a local bakery. 🍽️🍜🍩

Starting the day right for a long day at work: Homemade granola with homemade yogurt and local honey, topped with fresh strawberries. Cannot wait until the local farms have strawberries this month, I'm making canned jam again. 🍽️🍜🍓

Lunch at work: Pistachio-pesto pasta primavera with asparagus, red pepper and onion, topped with parmesan. 🍽️🍜

Dinner tonight is one of my favorites: Panang tofu vegetable curry with jasmine rice; featuring cauliflower, red potato, green beans, mushrooms, carrots and red pepper. 🍽️🍜

Sunday: get that bread (baking). It has traditionally been my baking day for years as it was always my day off. 🍽️🍜🍞

Trying to use leftover buckwheat flour from that fancy dinner I did last month, so I thought: Buckwheat buttermilk pancakes with WI maple syrup and butter. 🍽️🍜🥞

Fresh fritter Fryday at work again: Yeasted lemon-blueberry fritters with a lemon glaze. 🍽️🍜🍋🫐

Lunch at work today (a real winner): Spicy-fried chicken sandwich with romaine, tomato, jalapeno, jalapeno cream cheese, avocado creme on a pretzel bun. 🍽️🍜🐓

For Memorial Day we attended the Brewers game and, befitting the holiday, it was dollar dog day. Of greater importance to me: All American Cherry at Kopps Frozen Custard. 🍽️🍜🌭🍦

Trying to utilize a bunch of different odds and ends for lunch today: Spaghetti with fresh shiitake and lemon. A light cream sauce lightly coats the delicious pasta. 🍽️🍜🍝🍋

Memorial Day weekend cooking: We'll be firing the grill later, I'm making my famous potato rolls for burgers now. 🍽️🍜🍔
