Now you're talking. I hope to see this someday in the future.

A number of years ago I had British family visiting and we took them to that beach. They eagerly jumped in the lake, regardless of the temperature and fecal levels. All the Wisconsinites sat and watched.

I know this beach, it's on my biking route! That water is, frankly, always cold.

It's like a potato hat for duck salad.

Absolutely, it was about half my caloric intake for the day! Good thing I was mostly driving and only eating two meals. Going to have to try that with a local bakery's apple fritters in the future

I'll picture something alarming racist quoted here.

I have a degree in history and had to do historical research on a period of years of my life. Very fun!

And not be a piece of shit unless you be exposed before everyone.

Sound advice. That's similar to the response we give in professional kitchens: "cook it until it's done."

The number of lines crossed in the same at this point totally suggests it will stop him this time!

Me, seeing that meal and fiber amount.

Wisconsin cheese, that's how you know it's good.

Truth. If I remember correctly, it was a way for the Polish to use all the butter and sugar before Lent began.

The next one I was going to try at work in the future was a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, but I did find a pączki one for future use. www.jocooks.com/recipes/pacz...

Pączki? In this economy?

It's quite fresh tasting, will be even better when the local strawberries are ready! The yogurt we make is unsweetened, thus the honey is necessary.

My great grandmother was the same way, she canned an insane amount of food. I can remember jars upon jars in her basement when I was a kid. Think this was the recipe I used last year, I'll probably search again to see if anything looks better. www.savoringthegood.com/strawberry-r...

Lakefront Brewery has a solid range of beers and an awesome brewery tour if you have time for that.

The menu version is a little less interesting. It has burrata mozzarella and no vegetables, because this is Wisconsin.

It tastes like spring in a bowl!

I hope he can live vicariously through my photos! This Friday is National Doughnut Day of you need a reason to celebrate. I would fry some more at work but unfortunately I'll be busy. 😔

Those are beautiful! I don't want to see a perfectly curated loaf, the homemade touch looks better.

I was fortunate to work with them in restaurants and knew their value.

Looks great! Don't Cambro containers make the best vessels for proofing?

Flaxseed sandwich bread with a bit of a lean, making the house smell great. 🍽️🍜🍞

Precisely why I gave to wearing contacts in the kitchen, but I understand that's not a choice you have.

Difficult to function with such "perfume", especially in a kitchen. Might as well be mustard gas.

They both have their merits but the brightness of these is 🤌.

I think this might be my best version yet. That jalapeno cream is on the menu for a burger, but I think it's better with chicken. I still want to try a Korean fried chicken version with actual fermented kimchi on it. Need to source it make that though.

Probably to help the fledgling dairy industry at that time.

Only in Wisconsin. I remember reading about some old law that required cheese to be served with apple pie.

Should be illegal to sell in Wisconsin.
