Ohio native. 20 plus years seeing large parts of the world at US government expense. Couldn't have afforded it, otherwise. Thank you, military service.

American Gestapo. Who would have believed it?

You see the headline of the article and know it is the White House telling lies and these journalists are just repeating the lies and it's just one more article to ignore.

Yes. It's so great being able to get high and not have to wake up with a hangover. Does wonders tamping down the chronic pains if you have them, also.

If the military was truly fetishized, Trump being a draft dodger, insulting Gold Star families, and calling war dead "losers" would have been career ending.

Didn't read the article but Eric Lipton's comments here are pretty ballsy which makes them a night and day contrast from what we usually see from the NYT.

Elite media. Elite journalists. Born of privilege, wealth, the best schools. However, when the ultimate test of their courage came, they were revealed to be weak, cowardly, lacking the inner strength to stand up to fascism.

Drop the labelling of authoritarian to describe Trump, Stephen Miller and the rest. They are fascist. Nazis.

The mission is to break Social Security, make it collapse, lie and say it collapsed due to its own failure, ignoring that it worked until January 2025.

You have to wonder what motivates folks like Maddow, keeping guaranteed rating wins like Keith off the air. Arrogance? Ego? Spite? Have not watched MSNBC since the election and have no plans to do so with the way they are now.

All you have to do is check gasbuddy to find out he's telling lies.

Didn't even bother to read that filth. What's the point?

After being approached while out in public and asked for money by a young, white, strappingly handsome fella who proceeded to shower me with 4 letter words when told no, yes, the thought "Why can't they be made to disappear?" did cross my mind. Bullies, whether in the White House, or panhandling.

People keep thinking this all stops at a certain point. It's not stopping. Wait till stuff like we post here is deemed a security threat and they began to identify and track you, and you start getting warnings that what you are posting could be illegal.

They're so stupid. Imagine how many people canceled their subscriptions to the NYT/WAPO when they both turned yellow and kowtowed to MAGA. Imagine working for them and not being aware you are a weak, gutless individual. Imagine being them.

Right, right. Ruth Bader was racist. Hoo boy. And I guess the Holocaust didn't happen, right?

No. Co-sponsored by him and a Republican.

Ah. The Democrats are the racists. Now we're getting somewhere.

Republicans controlled the House then. If Democrats controlled the House, that bill doesn't happen. Like, the arrest of the activist didn't happen under Biden and wouldn't have happened under Harris.

No, it was taken away because Trump chose the 3 justices who voted to take it away. 3 justices who wouldn't have been on the court if you wouldn't have been responsible for the election of Trump in 2016.
comment in response to

Nonsense. This wouldn't be happening under Kamala. Your vote for Trump caused this. You're to blame, not folks who voted for Harris. Same thing as your vote for Trump in 2016 took away women's right to abortion.
comment in response to
post
You folks are to blame for what's happening. Time to accept responsibility for your blatant failure. By either not voting for Kamala or voting for Trump, you caused this. I did my part to prevent it by voting for Kamala.

You folks just don't get it, do you?

He thinks when he stops your monthly social security check, you're going to go "Yeah! You get 'em Elon! So glad I'm no longer receiving my social security!" This is "Let them eat cake territory," that that grinning Nazi Musk is treading into. We know how that turned out.
comment in response to

You have no one to blame but yourselves. But then it's never your fault, is it?
comment in response to

And this wouldn't be happening if Kamala was president. You folks never learn.

And all because millions of you either refused to vote for Kamala or voted for Trump.

Those were the days. Keith on fire against the Bush administration, you're right, I also had MSNBC on before and after work as background besides watching.

These corporate elite, so out of touch that they think this makes more people will want to watch their already failed brand. I haven't watched them since the election and why would I come back to their attempt to be a CNN/Fox-lite wannabe?

Can be accurately traced to millions of Americans who, blaming Biden for the actions of Netanyahu in Gaza, either voted for Trump or did not vote, thereby ensuring the election of Trump. FAFO.

Just subscribed to The Guardian. Canxed my long-time WAPO/NYT subscriptions during the election. Their blatant swing to backing Trump was the reason.

The NYT was key to Trump's win. One reason was they knew he'd be good for business. Now we see these earnestly serious articles on "Oh dear, Trump is so bad!", please subscribe to us so you can read our sounding the alarm on Trump!" Nope. Don't read the NYT.

Back in the 60s, our church had the first Sunday mass at 545am and then a mass an hour until the last one at 1245p. Before the church closed last year, it had one mass on Sunday. I quit going in 1971 and never went back.

This hand wringing over CNN/WAPO/NYT/ABC, they brought all this upon themselves, it is really hard working up any empathy/sympathy for them. Time for media alternatives that got some backbone.

Thing about Amazon is it really provides a viable alternative to the lousy malls they have now. Who wants to deal with gridlock and the high chance the mall won't have what you need when you can find it in 5 minutes on Amazon?

The fellas probably thought the ladies wouldn't want to be paid once they found out who they were dealing with. Be so grateful to be blessed with the company of Gaetz and such.
