I understand the legal reason to say Iran isn’t an imminent threat to the US. It’s important in that regard. But it’s not why elites want to bomb Iran. It’s because a nuclear Iran makes Israel less powerless and most of these people simply want Israel to be an unchecked genocidal state.

I have obtained new nonpublic data from ICE that shows that 2/3 of the people it had booked into detention facilities this fiscal year had no criminal convictions at all. Less than 7% have violent convictions. Most convictions were for immigration, traffic, and vice offenses.
