A spectacular thunderstorm overnight next Wednesday would be nice. Just the one though.

I’ve always felt that more cars creeping down Oxford street would make it a more pleasant experience, somewhere I’d like to hang out at a pavement cafe staring at a frustrated motorist.

Oh really? I may do that. I’m on a gravel bike (albeit with a set of road wheels). Presumably I can bumble along at my own pace?

Ta, I’ve done the distance a few times. Ditching Beacon is a hell of a climb but more than happy to walk that if required

I think the BNP did something similar in the east end (Dagenham & Barking) to garner support in the ‘90s?

No intention of doing it anytime soon but have pondered how to extract some equity from my place, not looking to downsize as such but would be great to move and release £100k, the stamp duty does put me off.

Complaining about “stab duty”

What is the standard unit of hash these days? Do the kids still ask for “an eights of leb” or are they buying in grams? I blame the EU

Someone on my road had a jet black one of these when I was a kid, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_... I bet it’s a rusty stain now. I wanted one so bad.

My GP is threatening statins. I may ask if it’s that or less cheese, it’s a choice right?

It will remain a complete mystery as to why he was hanging around a toy store.

My biggest regret since leaving TfL is being unable to log onto the staff WiFi at stations.

You’d think people are over the fact that lots of corner shops are Asian owned and have been for 50 years and it’s not as if there’s any law against anyone opening a shop if they are happy to accept slim margins and long hours.

Give your youngest some sage advice from me. Go to ‘revise’ at your mates house the night before your physics ‘o’ level. Drink Bacardi, some his dad’s cannabis, get sick in a phone box on the way home and score a B.

Graham Hill is in it, he really does look like Dick Dastardly

Have you seen this? It’s a combo of great shots and some truly awful dialogue and wooden acting from 1960s drivers en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_P...

Have you seen this? It’s got some amazing racing shots, some appalling acting by F1 drivers (including Graham hill) and beautiful women looking sad. I love it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_P...

I mean it’s a worthy cause and it must be dreadful job “I’ll just wear this humiliating hat, I may get a £5 per month donation. I’ll be able to pay the cats vet bills”

I agree, although the idea that the BLE or DLR are ‘shovel ready’ is nonsense. They exist as advanced feasibility options at best.

It's just like. It generally feels that you don't actually understand what the Nazis were about if you don't get it through your head, and further the entire long history of antisemitism just within Europe itself.
