It’s time for Scotland to move beyond the union – and claim our rightful place on the world stage.

For me, my hope comes from the necessity for the SNP to make Holyrood 2026 a success, as they’re well aware that their populism and membership are dwindling. Mr Swinney pledged in May that HR26 will centre on independence.
I only hope it’s not solely about laying the groundwork for the future.

Redistribution. Fairly and equally.

It's quite odd that someone so fanatical about the SNP appears utterly unaware of recent happenings.
It's your divisive, nonsensical trolling that could well be splitting the Yes movement.
Honestly, you're the one fixated on Alba, not me.
Perhaps take a step back and reflect on your approach.

I've absolutely no idea what you're alluding to.
Yes, that's me. What's not factual about it?
In addition, SNP Mhairi Hunter confirmed it in a post on X.
Have you asked the SNP when and where the convention is taking place?
I'd love to know so I and many others could perhaps attend.

No - the sub heading clearly states Country/Region.
Just happens that England is legally split into 9 accounting regions.
Scotland, Wales and N Ireland slot in to their relevant position within the UK.
ONS and GERS is biased against Scotland but still shows us 3rd against London & South East.

Nope - cos you're talking bollocks.

Ah okay. I get your legitimate point. (I'm a bit slow this morning) 😁
You're right to look at it also in comparison to head count other than just actual revenue contribution 👍

No I don't.

No it doesn't. It's not per head of population. The population is purely for reference to country or region size.

You're arguing against an argument that doesn't exist and with the wrong person, for the wrong reasons.

Check the official Scottish Parliament website for the transcript of the question asked in Parliament and Angus Robertson’s response
Also Mhairi Hunter SNP confirmed the Scottish Governments decision not to organise an independence convention on X
Or ask SNP what date the convention is being held
comment in response to

Absolutely bollocks. It was Angus Robertson who made the statement and John Swinney confirmed it.
I could say you've accused the Scottish Government of being greedy and corrupt and your sweeping statements are unfriendly and unhelpful.

I am hopeful also. I genuinely believe Holyrood 2026 is going to be a huge crossroads for Scotland.
Now is the time to stop playing nice and subservient.

I'm sharing and posting the current affairs in relation to the independence cause - hugely in favour of our Scottish government
If you're unhappy with anything in particular that the SNP have or haven't done I wouldn't say it's fair you accuse someone else of lying or endorsing anti independence
comment in response to

I'm not quite sure why you're accusing me of spreading their lies or see it necessary to post that.
I am not a supporter of Alba and want our Scottish Government to lead us to independence.
Have a look through my timeline and tell me otherwise. 👍

Interesting point. I genuinely hope we begin to see and hear positive momentum from the SNP regarding independence now that their Holyrood 2026 campaign has kicked off.
So far, it’s been a sluggish start, but I’m optimistic it will build to a crescendo.
Won't it?
comment in response to

Not a fan of Alba and it was SNP who decided not to go ahead with it.
I'm not spreading anybodies lies.

It wasn’t just the people benefiting – the banks were making a huge fortune.
Most mortgages issued to those buying their council house
included extra borrowing to fund improvements like double glazing and central heating
The government didn’t have to spend a penny – that’s why they supported it.

There will be a transitional period between the referendum result and Independence Day – likely a minimum of two years.
That provides ample time for an election to be held to choose an independent Scottish Parliament and Government to take office on day one of independence.
