super-enjoying the dragon quest 3 remake of course I would buy the remake of a 27-year-old jrpg from the nes, very on-brand for me

it is definitely the weekend

i can't believe anyone in the liberal camp thinks elon can be an ally. his interest is plainly in the advancement of his businesses, and anything beyond that is as insidious or worse, depending on how much charitability you wish to extend (i extend none). you benefit from opposing him.

This seems like a great day to remind Bluesky that Stephen Miller lived four doors down from me freshman year And our student council person asked him (and everyone) to sign a birthday card for our dorm’s janitor And he threw a tantrum and wrote an op-ed about not socializing with “the help.”

I’ve been hanging onto these images for literally years waiting for the the right moment to post them and it’s safe to say that day is finally here

i wonder if any side of the political spectrum can learn why it's important *why* people support or don't support things. probably not.

i try not to operate out of schadenfreude, or spite, or the suffering for others. it's a bad way to live. but this gives me life. we need to bottle this and sell it.

the white sox news is not good news. it's not even reinsdorf actually selling the team for sure or soon, and if he does its to the brothers who run the phoenix suns, one of the single-worst nba situations (somehow even worse than the bulls right now)

Big balls showing up at work tomorrow:

we’re probably 2-3 tweets maximum from learning the truth about Trump’s weight or Elon’s botched penis

forcing JD Vance into the middle of this against his will is such an incredible bonus

It’s the happiest day of Elon Musk’s life because he finally posted something people actually want to read

honestly i'm shocked it took this long for two pretty unlikable turds to have the falling out we all knew they would

It's a little bittersweet that they *finally* are doing a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster, and I'm going to have to pay hundreds of dollars for it (since it's playstation only and I don't have one of those)

this is where I want to say “face/off and it’s not particularly close” but to be honest, con air and adaptation are both very close but still, face/off. it’s delightfully stupid, charismatic in the weirdest ways, a truly unique pile of nonsense that I love also, 8mm and snake eyes deserve mentions

A “feeling a bit stupid” moment for me I’ve been battling spam e-mail, and entropy across multiple e-mail addresses for years And the main tool that can help with all that is sub-addressing, which is a thing I’ve known about for over a decade An easy tool from work that I just never used in life

I'll never defend Thibs as a great coach, but he's very very good, and this (as with most coach firings) begs the question: are they going to end up with someone better? This feels at least a little impatient.

Imposter syndrome had a great run, but unfortunately someone found it stabbed to death right in front of the FEMA head who’s unfamiliar with hurricanes

we did such a phenomenal job with our society in the 50s/60s in regards to infrastructure, and yeah, we've been riding those coattails ever since

I want my enemies to have less power and for us to have more. Part of that involves people who have supported bad leaders and ideas changing their minds. We don't have to be anyone's friend or forgive people, but off-ramps must exist. I think that's pretty basic.

i used to complain about how powerful a tool excel is, and how we gave it to normal-ass people, and they produced so many use-cases where they used excel for something databases or entire other applications should be doing (could/should thing) AI/LLM/whatever is like the quantum evolution of this

so much of the past 9 years has been eye-opening regarding this strange country i live in. i mourn for what i thought this country was, but still, somehow, have hope that things could get better. i try not to make a habit of declarative political threads, but i've finally organized some thoughts.

friend was like “as a Bulls fan shouldn’t you root against the pacers?” “nah, I only rooted against reggie miller. how could I hate rik smits or any of the davises”

shaq talking like he's going into the office day 1 and just giving stephen a smith a wedgie then stealing his secretary

deserved. i love haliburton but i've always been a huge siakam fan. his game tonight was insane.

thunder in 6.

Oklahoma City and Indiana in the league championship should be a moment of euphoria for alleged basketball fans, and it will suck that the NBA and lots of their media are going to be unhappy about it

Congratulations to both the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers on getting rid of Paul George and assembling an NBA Finals team as a direct result

Say what you will about the East, but having a conference finals of two teams that win primarily by playing harder than you is good for the league.
