Introducing The Yorkshire ISA Experiment! It is a little idea I’ve had to see if Yorkshire’s listed companies can outperform the wider market and cash savings rates. More details to come in tomorrow’s @yorkshirepost.co.uk business newsletter

Breaking @propublica.org: Bukele of El Salvador has become one of Trump’s favorite authoritarians, and Trump touts him as a foe of MS-13. But a US investigation has found evidence he has colluded with the gang, even paying it for votes. www.propublica.org/article/buke...

This is a very good piece. Extremely dystopian morning thought is that I link the preference for internet friends and AI content to the growing trend of “going no contact” with parents/family/anyone who annoys you now. Much easier to go no-contact when the AI will still tell you you’re great.

Heartbreaking scenes in Liverpool, on what was meant to be a day of celebration. If you were at the parade or in the surrounding area and have information/footage that could help the police, please call 101 quoting log 784. As we await further information, praying everyone affected will be okay 🙏

Really sad news. Many tributes will quite rightly be paid to Andrew Norfolk's investigative journalism, but when he talked to me for the book Journalism: Principles and Practice he also had plenty of wise words about getting the basics right, as learned in the local press.

A great man, with real integrity

Really sad to hear of the death of Andrew Norfolk, the incredibly talented reporter who exposed the Rotherham and Rochdale CSE scandals. I was fortunate enough to know him a little bit and he was a man of incredible principle and courage, as well as modesty www.thetimes.com/article/828c...
