It’s official per the IOC. Shannon Rowbury is the Olympic bronze medalist from the London 2012 1500m final after Russia’s Tatyana Tomashova was guilty of a second doping violation.

An unfortunate pattern dating back more than a decade w/ Rita Jeptoo (positive for EPO in 2014), 2016 Olympic champ Jemima Sumgong (positive for EPO in 2017) and most recently 2017 Tokyo Marathon champ Sarah Chepchirchir (banned for a ABP violation and then tested positive for testosterone in 2023).

Recognized the orange Nike top in recent race photos. Looks like Sheila Chelangat's Instagram (shila_chelangat) has been scrubbed and she's no longer listed on the athletes list on the Rosa Associati website but she was represented by them for the past few years.
