What's worse is the millions who are educated that voted for him despite his lies and cruelty.

It doesn't matter if your constituency hasn't read a history book.

Woke? An imprecise word you can attach any meaning to that you want. A word used by the unserious.

There it is. Pride.

Xi doesn't need to convince a bunch of uninformed undecideds to vote for fairly complicated progressive values. Ridicule only turns them away.

And become no better than MAGA.

Exactly. And all but Jesus are flawed, correct?

You need to judge me as worthy or not. That is on you, not me.

Zionist began moving to Palestine and establishing extra-governmental bodies before WWI. Conquest and colonialism is the way of the world, but you don't have to cheer for it, or support a genocidal, apartheid state, for that matter.

James 5:16 being the only one on point, you should know that James is speaking as James, not Jesus. Again, I take my instructions from Jesus, not you or a priest or James, for that matter.

Why do you need me to declare my faith to you? Did Jesus tell us to declare our faith to each other in this specific way? But you only answer with memes, so I'm afraid you may be ignoring this invitation to think more deeply about what Jesus and God instruct us to do.
comment in response to post
Preach the Word. Not confess. You ask me for confession. You ask me for a declaration to you. None of this follows upon what Jesus taught. Do you understand? YOU are the creation of God. YOU are a light unto the world. You don't need anyone else's ideas or confessions or declarations to prove this.

It is a test, but not for you or any human to give to any other human. It is a test God gives each one of us individually, each to answer only to him.
comment in response to post
It's up to God, of course, but imo you are trumpeting your faith and requiring me to do the same. Anyway, happy Easter.

Read your bible. I don't need to confess to you or anyone. In fact, if my reading is correct, trumpeting my faith to anyone, in any way, is in direct opposition to Jesus' Word.

I'm imagining how many eyes I'd gouge out before they took me down if that was my wife they were attacking.

The bible has many contradictions. I read Jesus' Word as the first order. It takes precedent over all others, including Paul. Paul was a Roman citizen who likely never even met Jesus.

When I attend church I do it for my family. But I do not see the need to filter God's Word through any human institution, personally. Each one of us is a light unto the world.
comment in response to post
You are created by God. Trust him to have created something beautiful and singular such that you can read the bible yourself, without the intermediary of another person telling you what it says. I believe that my faith is only truly faith when it is between me and God. I shall not trumpet it.

"When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others"
comment in response to post
Yes, confess your sins. But he does not tell you to confess to a priest or anyone, for that matter. As far as my faith there is Matthew: When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others.

It's way less complicated than people believe. I know Masons. They are far from satan worshippers. Most just want to help fund hospitals and stuff like that.
comment in response to post
I've learned to read the bible as God intended, not through the filter of another person or priest, but to read the bible as his word to me. As Jesus said, don't go to the synagogue but follow him. Do not follow anyone else or any other institution.

I was baptized and raised Catholic. I'm a historian by education. I've learned to question assertions based on beliefs, because, as you surely know, humans can be brought to believe pretty much anything. God gave me a brain so I use it.

Did you know Britain didn't hold elections during the entirety of WWII? Do you know that holding fair elections during war is impossible. How do citizens in occupied territories or in cities near the front even vote?

Trump is not religious. He's political.
comment in response to post
Well, good luck with that.
comment in response to post
Do you realize that Evangelical Christians, like the ones surrounding Trump, think Catholics are crazy? My super duper Christian aunt thinks you're no better than jihadist muslims. What if her religion is the theocracy? Catholic repression incoming.

Well, they established a country in an area where 'these people' already lived. They formed government bodies outside of the existing government bodies and built a country within a country, essentially, before Truman announced that he was Silas and recognized Israel as a separate state.
comment in response to post
"no person..." Does that mean 'no person' or does it mean something else? Because if it means some people are not people, if we legally classify some persons as lesser persons, it can lead to genocide.
comment in response to post
Did I mock religion or warn about the rise of one that you don't agree with?
