And, as you say, it could be a lot worse if Virgil and Mo go. We need two CBs as it is, because Gomez will almost certainly want to leave for regular football. Do you trust FSG to back the manager with money? I don’t. Which could mean we won’t challenge at all next season.

We’re probably going to win the league, and yet I believe this squad needs major surgery. The entire front line, with the exception of Mo, can be upgraded. We need another top-class midfielder so that our main three don’t burn themselves out. New fullbacks. And a centre back. Yikes!
