It's probably never been driven, since I doubt he knows how to drive.

Yeah, I’m always telling myself “no talking heads.”

Love it. 😁

Yeah, anise was pretty gross. And no, I hadn't thought of vanilla. Huh, would've been interesting.

Heh. Fair point. 😁 (and no, neither of them is about to die)

Ha! So true. I can’t even imagine what that’d feel like. 😁

So good. :)

Oh my god, on seeing your post I just went and watched the trailer. Looks so good!

Really enjoying this discussion & all the ideas people have given. But the original post was just to share I had a group of spices I was happy with, I did the experiment, & am prolly gonna’ go with pumpkin spice. I think it fits best both that it made the pizza sauce foul, and it fits the context.😊

Totally. And that was part of the conversation I had with my friends. Too much of ANY spice can spoil the pot. 😊 In this case, I wanted a spice you might find in many kitchens, and have it be the flavor rather than quantity (later in the story quantity becomes an issue).

Hahahaha! Yeahhhh… no so much me either. 😁

Huh, what a cool bluesky account! I love how diversely weird the world is. :)

Ha! That would be amazing to do, but just the THOUGHT of having to eat it makes me gag!

No, why didn't I think of that?!! ;-) (ghhagghkkkkll!)

Ellen the TV series. She came out in "The Puppy Episode" in 1997.

Hahahaha! Yes, that's the concern about pumpkin spice (although I think it'll be the one). Everyone has their likes and dislikes (some people LOVE pineapple pizza, including me, but some hate it!), and so I wanted it to be based as much as possible on the ingredients going poorly together.

Ha! Thank you! 😁

And of course, that means I just ate a BUNCH of pizza sauce, with spices intended to make it taste gross. My stomach is NOT happy right now. Ha! (I did make sure to make enough of the yummy base sauce though, and have dough rising for pizza tonight, yay!)

I think Pumpkin Spice was the worst. It just made it all wrong. But I’m hesitant to feel sure, since I’m not a big fan of “pumpkin spice” flavor to being with (though the same could be said about me and mustard) The bulk fenugreek only came in seeds, and I had no way to pulverize them. So, no data.

Ginger was not good, worse than allspice, but not absolutely horrible. Something that made it (and aniseed and pumpkin spice) notably bad I think, was that you can identify the “wrong” flavor. Ginger, licorice, pumpkin. Aniseed was gross. Black licorice on pizza? No thank you.

My hot take on the wrong thing to put into pizza sauce: Cinnamon, nutmeg, and peppermint were all odd, definitely not good, but not actively offensive. I don’t like mustard, but it had a certain acceptable hot-doggy flavor. Allspice was pretty gross. But the least gross of the gross.

Hm. I still use Gumroad for e-versions of my books for my Kickstarter campaigns. You can give a "discount code" to your backers so that it costs nothing/Gumroad doesn't make any money off of me, & I use some of their resources. Good? Maybe? I'm still, not sure I like being affiliated. Alternatives?

Thank you! I’d love to get back up there again. ❤️

It pairs nicely with a shot of hooch which you can pour directly off the top.

Hahahahaha! Yes. I can tell you that "WHY MY PEE IS BURNING" is as important to me (just in a different way) as alternating 5-Hydroxymethylcytosine in human cancers (which is also important, granted). 😆😆😆

You ARE doing "actually important, serious work to better humankind," your comics have been so educational to people who need it and weren't taught it in schools (and people who just wanted to expand their horizons)! And just because they're funny, doesn't mean they're not serious. <3

Nice! They look great! I wonder if they sent me copies. And if they did, I wonder where they think I live. Hrm. Maybe. should write them.

I use it purely for backgrounds, and not only does it allow me to be a bit more cinematic because I can effortlessly do any angle. But also, when you’re drawing one place hundreds of times, and the place has any complexity, it’s a really really nice tool.

Thanks Rick! And yeah, it's so hard to shake FB! I think of you two often! I hope by the time I get up that way to visit again that Americans are still allowed into Canada!
