If I ever won the £200m, I'd sooner stick the lot on a roulette wheel than invest into a football club. More chance of a return

It makes you wonder Tim. There is an assumption people *want* this. And maybe some do. But, and I am quite cynical about such things, it really isn't something I yearn for

Mind you, that latter point could apply to about 80 clubs these days

I hate it. Serious FOMO being outside the best league. I see the benefits of the championship, but the standard of football isn't great

We are also probably a year or two away from the number of US owners exceeding the magic number of 14 in the PL. Once that happens, they'll have the voting power to change things to suit them and pursue greater Americanisation of the game - not necessarily for its betterment.

Happens a lot annoyingly. This one was posted by Liverpool’s social media team in 2011 and became accepted as a Shankly quote. It was literally made up by someone on a fan message board. You wouldn’t think a goalless draw at home to Swansea could cause such insanity

The home and away shirts in Euro 96 were awful, like so much of the football in that tournament. I honestly don't think England had a good kit between Euro 1992 (the final outing of the Italia 90 kit) and WC2006, which was an absolute beauty.

100%. But at least we have a visible owner. Not like the last lot, or their predecessors

What is our transition and recycling like? Can our no8 do what a trequartista or no6 does? I like it when we do The Press.
