I used to watch movies at a friend’s place after school, mostly taped from TV but he’d carefully edited out the ads (I guess he had two VCRs?) which made for much better viewing!

“Immigration system” is what it would be called in Nineteen Eighty Four. It’s like calling the defence department the “Ministry of Peace”.

(sorry if this is not a direct answer to your question, but I wish I'd had these resources when my kids were toddlers and my workload was insane)

If the parenting part is a significant contributor to your stress/exhaustion, get Pop Culture Parenting on your podcast feed. It's been a game changer for us. They often talk about balancing a hectic work schedule with parenting, as well as tackling specific challenges.

Drumpf playing the warmonger-idiot roles of Powell, Rumsfeld and Dubya at the same time

Get all the warmongering, fascist and theocratic leaders in a room to fight it out. (Then lock the door and throw away the key).

Same goes for idiot fascist presidents. Is it my president? No. But do I have to look at his fascist mug and hear his inane BS every time I open this app? Infuriatingly, yes. If your city/country dominates headlines, everyone gets a say.

Because it sucks logging on to an app and being pummeled by an ever increasing torrent of dumb stuff done by corrupt politicians elected in big cities that should know better. If I have to hear about another city’s idiot leaders, damn straight I’m gonna chime in a bit when they run for office.

My uneducated guess is that Iran will retaliate to try to save face, and Trump will go scorched earth because he’s an egomaniacal psychopath who won’t be able to resist using the war machine he’s apparently in charge of.

If you think that obtaining a tidbit of information, sourced through a black box with opaque biases, is equivalent to reading about and *understanding* a topic, I have yet another bullshit climate-killing chatbot to sell you.
