Soft power is a redundant term and all the more so for the uk. Our creative and cultural output is utterly vital. It would be the same as saying that the services sector should be given a begrudging nod post-1980s

Trump is a very unusual lying politician because often he doesn't even know when he's lying. He's not a full time resident of reality. The Republican Party has pledged itself heart and soul to a volatile bundle of very powerful instincts attached to a semi functioning brain.
