Worse than this?

Have they said why Tucker is DH again? It’s clearly some type of injury at this point, no?

I’m still bummed about last night’s loss and especially the news about Hodge. Double whammy. Getting Happ back is huge for the lineup.

I love to see this.

Right. He looked safe anyway. Which makes the obstruction call idiotic. If the bag was obstructed, how did he get a hand in safely? “There’s no logic here today.” Izzy Stradlin

I love that for Justin Turner! I love that for us.

And here I thought you were way late on the three-run bomb. He homered again!!!

Someone needs to ask him why.

Certainly a choice to bring in a reliever who strikes out almost no one into a bases loaded situation. But what do you know? He got the strikeout. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Fuckin’ baseball.

😂 I had to fan myself watching Palencia dot the edges of the strike zone with 100 mph running fastballs.

Offense has not been it dating back to the shutout in Milwaukee. 😢

Also, the stream is awful compared to Apple TV+, Fox, Peacock, or ESPN games.

Yes. Because it took me two innings to get a stream. Roku app not available on my Xbox. Incompatible to stream to Internet Edge. Screen mirroring to Samsung wasn’t allowed either (not sure if it’s encrypted). I don’t have audio on apps through my Samsung TV cause I have a 5.1 setup with a receiver.

Problem is you have PCA leading off, and he swings at everything out of the zone. Although I suppose a second bunt could have been in play.

No, thanks. I hate it.

Starting to worry this is a repeat of last season. We had the same record to this point last year.

Ah, OK. I see tommybirch.bsky.social tweeted but did not skeet that Horton is expected to join the Cubs on Saturday in New York.

Gonna need a sauce on this, brah!

I hope his first public comments as new pope are “Extend Kyle Tucker.”

This is from @bleachernation.bsky.social from just last Friday.

@bleachernation.bsky.social has been talking about it for a while now. He’s getting hit harder and striking out almost no one. It’s not conducive to longterm success.

lol, calling it a bad outing does not begin to describe the horrific 11th inning in which the Giants scored the most extra inning runs in the history of Wrigley Field. You gotta be able to strike folks out if you’re a closer. Pressly has to figure it out, cause the K percentage is abysmal.

Where does the time go?

Happ’s been my favorite Cub for a while now. Took way too much heat when times were bad with this offense. He was never the problem.

I mean, they did low slug the Brewers in the first two innings, and it was delicious. 5 singles. 2 walks. A sixth and seventh single. Then the big blow by Busch. Peppered their pitchers till Busch came in with the Shoryuken.

It’s up to the fans to do it a cappella. 🗣️

Pat Murphy's response: "It didn't backfire." The Cubs scored nine runs.

We never had this problem with cable. Just sayin’.

I feel you. That’s my motto: “I’d love to write more. Maybe one day.” During quarantine 2020, I bought an iPad and started reading again, thinking it would motivate me to start writing again as well. I haven’t gotten back into the groove of it in years. 😔

Do you write any blogs about baseball or anything else?

I understand setting up a force out at every base, but you’re also then putting your pitcher in a position with 1 out where he HAS to throw strikes. And in doing so, he sort of grooved one right to Kirk. If it worked out and they got the double play, he’d look like a genius.
