Well spotted!

Yes, me too, there's been a concentration over the years on controlling narrative that reminds me of corporate PR, except corporate PR doesn't have the inconvenient social overheads of government, so authoritarianism is where it heads, inevitably.

It does seem an over reaction to a massive security failure.

What a weapon. Glad I'm not a mouse.

40 years is impressive!

I was out in Liverpool today with a perfectly functioning Leica M2 made in 1960 and it does make you wonder what we've done to ourselves, voluntarily.

Pixel 6a bursts into flames spontaneously apparently so I count myself fortunate

Several years ago I was in Italy enjoying a 40 degree heatwave and streaming the Tour de France for six straight hours and my Pixel 6 became too hot to touch. Half an hour in the freezer sorted it (still generating WiFi while it was in there). Thought it was finished but typing this on it now

It's not natural.

I just bought two rolls of colour film, for reasons I can't quite explain except that it's sunny and I had a beer at lunchtime.

That looks lovely. The one thing I miss about our old house is the writing hut.

Chickens fighting over a piece of half cooked chicken is somewhat unedifying.

It will get better but that one still looks off.

Underrated post.

I think you might have been right. Shame it didn't happen.

That's a terrible thing to do to someone, but at least you got to read some Damon Runyon.

When we had a garden we had one of those cheap pot bellied iron ones and that was excellent. Used a wok lid for smoking. The only down side was that it was low enough that our chickens could steal things off it.

I'm glad that annoys the hell out of you too; it certainly does me.

We do have a car but my mindset is the same. The car currently needs to be taken for a drive to keep the battery topped up. Same wossname.

Liverpool is like that, in small pockets.

Yes I agree. I've had it for a while and it's constantly surprising me when it shouldn't be surprising any more.

I was thinking that.

Liverpool is very photogenic. Sunshine helps of course.

Liverpool has little corners like that. Also, May was a while back ;-) Very impressed with the Trip 35. Might even get a second for backup.

Thank you. Film found in fridge, maybe 10 years expired!

That's interesting. I wonder how many of us have no use for it and have never used it.

As a person who doesn't see 6.30am willingly it's always good to get a reminder of its mysterious earliness.

Very nice Julie.
