From the magnificent North. I champion bottom-up history, I urge young people to think more critically and have realistic aspirations. No time for liars and hyperbole. Much time for roast lamb & mint sauce, single malts, fine wines & real ales.

Politicising your country's military forces, law enforcement and public media by spreading lies and fear never ends well. It's time for the generals and guardians of these freedoms to stand up and speak out.

The adjustment to the WFP threshold has swung too far. Struggling younger working families will subsidise pensioners already receiving twice their income. Pensioners' voting power conquers all!

What kind of leader deploys armed militia against citizens who disagree with him? This convicted felon is only allowed to walk freely due to his own self-entitled job perk.

The spirit of 6 January targeted towards non partisan observers encouraged without shame.

If the potential rioters all wear MAGA caps they will all be officially pardoned. That's how it works doesn't it?

There will now be a stronger demand for the 'Epstein papers' to be released for public scrutiny. The longer Trump refuses to accept this, the greater the suspicion of his involvement will be.

I'm with you on this John. My current predominant irritation is listening to professional presenters and news readers on TV, Radio, You Tube etc who make no effort to say the word, 'Semitic' correctly. Around half say, 'SimEtic' and there's simply no excuse.

Clearly under the influence of something. 'Frightening a person like this has so much power and can cause so much misery.

Mason either doesn't grasp how seriously neglected everything has been or he has an agenda. Either way it's disappointing.

These displays of stage-managed, reality tv bullying in the Oval Office may come back to haunt Trump; particularly when they are based on Musk's manipulated lies.

Cole cannot help being vile if those around him encourage him. He was quite possibly drunk but was never challenged by the two others with him.

Bang on Steve! You're better off away from that shower Gary. Speaking truth to power ended a long time ago.

Lithuania's Eurovision entry was basically a Radiohead clone. It wasn't bad actually so good luck to 'em 😃

Our young people never wanted us to leave the EU and certainly didn't vote for it. The right wing UK media & most aged brexiteers have no right to try and hinder the education, employment opportunities or social lives of anyone.

So the train has stopped in fear of going at a break-neck speed?

These sre, undoubtedly clumsy terms used by Starmer but I'm sure he would stress he was cautioning against the RISK of these materialising if we fail to address immigration effectively and allow the far-right to control the agenda.

That's a bit simplistic John. Joe knew the score and knew Adolf wanted to seize his empire. A politically astute delaying strategy but he still lost over 25 million comrades.

People's confusion between nationalism and patriotism is the crux if many current ills. Many are reluctant to display patriotism in fear of being labelled aggressive nationalists, like Reform who use flags as weaponry.

I'm glad you're doing this. We won't have any serious scrutiny from Reform's lackies in the Telegraph, Mail, Express & Sun or, sadly from the completely 'impartial' BBC Newscast team. Go LBC, Ch4, Sky & The News Agents!

But what depth of 'scrutiny' can we expect to see from their right wing lackies in the Telegraph, Mail, Express Sun newspapers and on the completely 'impartial' BBC Newscast?

The US will find friends and allies much harder to find in the free world but the MAGA monkeys simply don't care. The long standing military and trading ties will be unrecognisable in 10 years time but not in a positive light.

Trump's lack of understanding in so many world life and death or economic issues beggar's belief. Is there no beginning to this man's talents?

It is (literally) incredible. Trump's exemptions prove he has no grasp of inter-dependencies between nations creating desirable products at affordable prices. His cultish cronies don't have the bottle to tell him.

As long as Trump makes headline news every day and he remains a lucrative leg up for his sycophantic cronies he will never care about what he's doing or to who.

Will we soon see the word, 'Truss' as an adjective as well as a noun in the next Oxford Dictionary? 😃
