Every day Leavitt gives us more reason to despise her.

A friend who loves trash TV tried to get me to watch it years ago, but it took my recent 8-week bout of norovirus to drive me to it. Perfect show to stream when synapses are blunted and you’re falling in and out of sleep. Wake up 45 minutes later on another episode entirely and IT DOES NOT MATTER.

I feel sorta the same way every time I watch a Down Under episode.

But then how does it square with their earlier decision that those set for removal to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act must be afforded due process? Since the decision did not include the reasoning, was there some difference between the two groups? The supposed pretext for deportation?

Greek salad — cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red onion, green pepper, olives, feta. Chilled tofu with Gochujang sauce. Gazpacho.
Chilled watermelon and feta with black pepper. Cold soba noodles with peanut sauce. Slice of good bread with mayo and salted tomatoes, plus pesto if on hand. Or bruschetta.

I've got a sailor-ish mouth myself but not to that extent. Whenever anyone responds to a post of mine with diatribes full of that sort of thing I just channel all my rural Methodist motherly forebears and respond "Goodness!!" Seems to stop it cold.

This seems particularly odd, as last I knew Liz Breuig was a democratic socialist.

I’ve had lots of issues myself with Democratic messaging. But not enough to take agency away from those who voted for the candidate who made his foul plans so obvious. Trump voters and those who didn’t bother to vote are responsible for the state of things today.

My frequent MOTH eating companion always got a Pear Pressure or two while I went straight for the barbaric looking baseball bat of vodka and pickles. Never regretted it.

Along with the fact that a whole lot of people liked what Trump was selling. This tendency to blame their choices on Democratic failures is getting dusty.

I don’t know that it’s Duvall’s best, but it’s a wonderful film. Have you seen The Apostle? I love that one too.

I noticed the linked article didn’t mention those non existing studies that were cited.

One day years back I temporarily lost my mind and put into my Target cart every single thing that appealed to me. Checked out, hundreds and hundreds of dollars later, then returned it all once I recovered. What an asshole. That poor person at the returns. I wonder if she sometimes still thinks of me

Yep. I’m in my 11th year of treatment and I don’t like it either. As much as I don’t like the whole “cancer journey” thing. But many people fall back on such well-intentioned cliches when trying to encourage or commiserate, so I focus on the intention rather than the phrasing.

I had some type of cervical exam requiring a sample two years ago that left me sobbing. With nothing but Tylenol. I couldn’t believe it and will never again allow it.

I’ve been in treatment for nearly 13 years. Am very aware of chemo brain. But if he is just now newly diagnosed—which I thought was the case—he would not have been receiving chemo.

No, it doesn’t. Cancer doesn’t cause the sort of “blunders” you’re referring to. Geeze.
