I DESPISED Trump in 2017, but I told my friend we shouldn’t use the word “fascist” because it has a specific meaning and while Trump was definitely an amoral despicable man, he wasn’t literally a fascist.

I hear you. I was starting to feel the people around him were fascistic, but he was too stupid to ever rally something like this. The process of learning here is really tough, we all had different thoughts at different points along the line. I think it's coming home to all of us at this point.
