Damn. It’s a fake. Too bad. Talk about grounds for impeachment!

He must’ve deleted the post almost immediately. These are the only two places I’ve seen it. I wonder if anyone else caught it

Please pass this on to all Canadian peeps who don’t want Russian propaganda in Canadian politics.

She was so solemn and wary of everything when I found her, pregnant with 5 babies. I suspect she spent all or most of her life outdoors. Now she watches Disney movies and snuggles with her kids instead of hiding in fear. Cats are one of God’s most incredible creations 🥰

I still have that fear you initially had, but I definitely can see that transition. I still think DT is too stupid to join anyone though. He wants to be one of them, but ultimately he wants personal glory. He’d never be savvy enough to unite w/ others. It would shift some of the attention off of him

That’s the key word right there though — “enough” people. We DON’T have that. The majority of people here actually SUPPORT Trump, which itself is terrifying. If he told them to go to the border & kill “brown ppl” they’d do it! They’d do anything. Yanukovych never had that kind of support

However, most ppl in this country don’t have the slightest idea what a protest camp even is. Not to mention the fact that Ukraine is something like 5 or 6% the size of this country. The state of Texas is larger than the entire country. We would HAVE to organize more formally

And tbf there was at least a certain amount of organization in the sense that you were referring to. Some level of organization HAS to exist in order to build massive protest camps, stages, first aid posts, kitchens, broadcasting systems, etc. like those in Maidan.

When I say “organize” and “opposition” I don’t mean like a planned group or coalition. I literally mean organize as in go to central locations which in our case would be places like DC, New York, Los Angeles. There’s not enough people in those cities who even care

Exactly. Perhaps organize wasn’t the right word. But you put it much better than i did. When over half the country supports this fool and all the absolute CRAZY shit he spews, you can’t change that through protests. The only way we COULD do it at this point would be to organize something

This is the #1 problem here. The general public’s attitude. A significant opposition cannot be built when over half the country doesn’t even see a problem w/ things. As long as it’s not “what the people want” a true opposition can never be formed. People have to want it first to fight for it.

I agree. I myself struggle very much with that generally resigned attitude of hopelessness. But the basic message of what they said is true. The origins leading up to where we are now really aren’t of significant import. Look up Euromaiden and the Orange Revolution. We do nothing like that here.

That’s right! We Americans don’t know what it’s like to truly organize and fight for our freedoms. Groups may march from time to time, but people here don’t understand what it means to build a sizeable opposition like Euromaiden — one that actually has the power & size to intimidate

I’m so glad to finally see a growing # of people/acts who recognize the threat of Russian propaganda and are devoted to educating others on it’s complexities 💙

The 4 years of division, violence, attacks on the media and long drawn out court cases were all just conditioning us democrats to stay silent this go around, when they KNEW they had the tools, the funding, and the players needed to accomplish their ultimate goal

We’re a gullible, feebleminded people.
Russia’s been perfecting the science of psychological manipulation thru propaganda for centuries
It’s a cheaper, more covert alternative to traditional warfare & they’ve learned it works better on Americans than anyone
Just so disheartening
