I usually assume they means it just needed to be rebooted or something and they’re now embarrassed that they didn’t try that before asking others for help.

Not only alive but disappointed that I apparently didn’t get the QR code that I was supposed to get. Conspiracy theory disappointment is a real thing!

I would argue that anyone thinking that Americans are going to embrace ag work, probably hasn’t ever done it.
Nothing made me want to go to college more than bucking hay every summer through my teen years.

Actually, I didn’t follow you on X so some of us may be net new followers. Bonus!

Evans would be great but hamstring injuries can linger. A couple of games on the road will make it a challenge too. Still, the NFC south is just bad enough playoffs are still a consideration so he needs to be 100% for that.

Ha ha! We’ve been watching this show. Once again, my fiancé will probably say “good lord, is Kirk Acevedo in every show?”

I feel like the elephant in the room on cost of living is that the expectation now includes a tv in every room, high speed internet and streaming, home automation, everyone in the house with a smart phone, multiple new cars, designer clothes and so on. The expectation has increased significantly.

Bots, Russian troll accounts, Elon/Tesla/SpaceX fanboys, fake outrage far right, proud boys, crypto bros and Twitter/X employees and contractors but the group that may surprise you….
NESARA/GESARA/Med Bed conspiracy theorists. They believe the announcement of NESARA will come through StarLink.

I adopted my little rescue dog two years ago this month. She was found living on the street, spent two months in a shelter and two months in foster care and they were really struggling to place her. I can’t believe no one wanted her but I can’t imagine my home without her.

Yeah, I didn’t have much over there but I imported nothing when I came over. I want to let this place be what it should be without expectations from the last one.

+1 on that question. Google just says fcf is Free Cash Flow so probably not that.
I think on Bluesky, my cultural scope is a bit bigger so I’m seeing new terms that I’m now curious about.

Love it. Mine is all in the cloud, which is aesthetically pleasing but you’re in a better spot when the zombie apocalypse breaks out.

I wouldn’t block someone with a difference of opinion, open to a real discussion but there is no point arguing with someone who clings to misinformation and name calling. On X, I was accused of some pretty horrible things just because I found Trump to be obnoxious. It’s not healthy.

Yeah, I feel bad for them. You know they were all on call too. There’s probably slack channel on fire.

They look huge. No way those would fit into that little flip down glasses holder in my car. I may have to pass on copying your look because of this detail. 😉

It’s not good quality wood so don’t bother trying to make it look like classic furniture. However, it is structural so you could take a drill and a jigsaw and cut interesting designs out of it, throw an LED light source inside of it and then paint it. Throw on a glass top and it would be fun.

The group who wants democrats to lean further left for sure is the far right. Nothing undermines them more in swing states than a centrist Democratic Party.

Yeah, I already did this recently. I was so used to the toxic battle waging on over on X it was almost a habit to engage. But the truth is that I don’t owe toxic people that engagement. This feels much healthier.

MAGA cult members are kind of like a 3 legged dog. Whether that’s genetics, lack of education or bad echo chamber, they’re essentially impaired just like a dog missing a leg. You don’t get mad at the dog when they stumble, you laugh and try to remember that it’s a thing for them just to walk.

Usually this is when I start watching Jordan Klepper interviews with MAGA people. Sure, there's a lot of them but there isn't a lot going on in their heads and somehow the contradiction makes me happy.

I wish future archeologists luck in explaining the huge caches of unopened packages of action figures that our society will undoubtedly leave behind. And I can't even imagine what they'll think when they run across an "adult" toy store.

In so many ways, we have two Americas. Another pandemic will absolutely be an example of that, with one group taking it seriously and locking down and another group going exactly in the opposite direction, even mocking the other side. It will be far uglier with greater losses than before.

Utah. I think you’d find the contradiction of a state so focused on being family friendly and yet voting for an administration at odds with that to be compelling.

Can you imagine how insufferable it would be to work for him? Every meeting would run late while everyone on the call took a journey into his narcissistic, fast food addled mind. And he thinks he’s funny but what passes for humor is just petty name calling with an even more grading voice change.

Sometimes I wonder if this is like a zombie video game and all the real players have discovered a hideout but then that means we’re all here so the zombies will be coming in force.

If I have to hear him describe his incoherent babbling as “the weave” one more time I think I’m going to have to bludgeon myself to end the suffering. I’ve met drunk, homeless people who can stay on topic better than he can.
