Just about. But they are, sorry to say, dead already.

That is not a counter-intuitive take, but very close to the information-insensitive definition of a safe asset.

A bit controversial (happy to hear y'alls thoughts): I still think EU can offer Trump certain concessions that allow a face-saving political win at home (e.g. replacing RUS LNG with US) under the condition that they can be revoked if Trump violates an agreement, coming back to my fluidity point

From the French point of view, escalating the trade war with the US is not a big problem. 1: the French economy will not suffer the most 2: France is far from Russia and has its nuclear arsenal. The rest of Europe has no such advantage and is completely dependent on the US. Bon chance.

Where is "here"? Germans say Achtung all the time. And it is a military command, not a WW2 or Nazi command. In a subtle way, precisely the point. It has to be normal to have a powerful German army.

I don't share that sentiment. Sorry, that was just the nerdy bit of info about the type of bombs (wanted to add the type of fuse etc. but thought those might be too much info).

There is no discussion of that in Germany as it is ... well, very obvious.

Indeed. Also, most of those hints turn out to be wrong, now that we have DATA.

Nah, that's fine. The original name is Latin (Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium), the locals call it Kölle. I blame Napoleon for the gne at the end.

True. They get Angstschweiß whenever they have to pronounce one.
