Went basically nowhere so that’s nice. Retest stuff in three months, see you in four months. No rush, just be miserable for a while longer.

I’ve still not seen ANY of those movies. I need to rectify that…maybe this weekend.

It do suck. I actually do enjoy what I'm doing, but the powers that be are making it fairly clear we're on borrowed time.

Not familiar with either, so spitballing here, it could be lack of access to various APIs through the normal “extension” paradigm, so they had to go deeper? 🤷

I’ve got a .NET FX visual studio extension in a monorepo with a VSCode extension (typescript), JetBrains extension (Kotlin / Java), a node app and a react app. It’s the only .NET solution though.

I switched to Kobo; they have a version with buttons. It’s nice - battery life isn’t as good as Kindle though

Deleted my account (finally) a few months back. Its been hard because of various "groups" that use it to push updates, but I'm holding strong.

I see (hence the question 😉). I guess I'm just used to installing the necessary "vm" management tool separately, which always has a different name.
comment in response to

So I'd need to install dotnet to get the tool to install dotnet?

But they _DO_ use it. Many teams in Microsoft use .NET / C#. We're talking about ONE team that didn't.
