Excited for a day of learning how to screen print! We’re starting by prepping images for the workshop!

Doing a screen printing course tomorrow. Trying to decide which art to use! I have no idea what will print well. 😱

A Brief History of Zines and Why You Should Make One staples-alanna.medium.com/a-brief-hist...

We have a lawn now!

TIL: fair dinkum — slang, Australia; unquestionably good or genuine; excellent, often used as a general expression of approval; or used to emphasize or seek confirmation of the genuineness or truth of something.

Tightening up my @leaddev.com talk, The Creative Technologist, this weekend. Can't wait to share all the ways I use creativity as a leader! #LDX3

Time must always be made. You’re never going to just have it, you need to create it for the things that matter to you. Get rid of “I don’t have time” and replace it with “it’s not important enough to make time for.” Be honest with yourself, and others, about what’s worth doing.

I’m VERY late to the Ted Lasso party, but I love his aversion to hot, brown water. Hard same. 🫖

I’m VERY tempted to buy myself a convertible Bug. I miss my lovely little Colabug and need something to get my drivers license with. Seeing some cheap prices for the 2004ish models — though slightly tempted to get a refurbed 72 model.

NGL buying vintage typesetting and making prints feels like a good new hobby for me. After I take my screen printing class, obvs.

We're living through the Who Cares Era, where completely disposable things are shoddily produced for people to mostly ignore, while the government stomps its uncaring boot on our necks. But there's an easy way to fight back: Care. I wrote about it: dansinker.com/posts/2025-0...

Simplified lines 🐠 Still trying to work out how to get the image to import as the right size and line up the layers when exporting from Procreate and importing into Cricut Design. 🤬

We can have a better world than this. We absolutely can.

sometimes the right thing to do is unrewarding, uncomfortable, and unsatisfying

Another day, another Cricut project! ✂️ This one is based off a drawing I made from a ChatGPT reference. Simplified the layers (more work to be done here) and cut three layers to build up the fish. Glued to a Posca marker blue background.

Nobody's ever really captured, to my satisfaction, the way that the internet -- though it promises infinitude, all of human experience & history & art & thought in one place -- has instead produced a kind of narrowing & flattening of experience, made the world seem *less* magic & full of wonder.

AI art constitutes, as Hayao Miyazaki has put it, “an insult to life itself.” Here’s why. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Not here for the gate keeping at the end — but the loss of magic and creativity, building the future from (poor) foundations of the past (the loudest on the internet), and babysitting code instead of writing it all resonate.

My Cricut and 18 sheets of A5 later — we’ve made some bunny dress up dolls!
