We went for the shoes photo — which I already prepped for Lino printing.

Seems unlikely, but maybe!

The seal was BROKEN on my Curry’s order. I called them immediately— everything looks ok, but, uh, not cool. My options were to have it picked up tomorrow and be without one for several days or accept the risk. As there’s a 12 month warranty I didn’t send it back. 😬😱

More mixed media inspiration posters than comic, but hope you enjoy it! I’m really proud of it. ☺️

Highly recommend Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Perfect if looking for realistic representation — but more widely useful if that’s not your style as it teaches you how to SEE and the component skills of drawing.

Why thank you! The stickers have been super popular — I’ve invaded loads of laptops!

I'm debuting a special zine for the event — find me to get your copy! It brings together some of my favorite art journal pieces into a story. Plus I've got stickers! @leaddev.com #LDX3

Good talk suggestion, thanks! I’m living in a guess culture (UK) and I’m more ask/direct than most in my home country (USA). I’m often bewildered, so this is useful framing.

I’m doing a beginners screen printing workshop on the 7th!

My new hypothesis is that an inspiring or at least doable path forward/call to action will move people in the right direction. I don’t have one at the moment tho to suggest.

I’ve tried in a multitude of ways over the past 20 years to influence as an (super imperfect) ally, but am coming to the realization that critique isn’t sufficient enough to sway people to better action.

Noted. What’s the path forward?

None of this relates to my points, so I’m a bit at a loss to engage. The world isn’t black and white, we must live in the grays. Wish you the best.

Call both-sides-ing if you like, but I’m a pragmatist. How can we use AI to subvert structural sexism and racism? Upend the legacy of colonialism? Advocate for social justice? Build a better future by engaging instead of being sidelined? If the marginalized aren’t involved, the gulf widens.

We could lean into regulation and legal remedies to legislate AI out of existence — but seems increasingly difficult and unlikely in the nearly nation-state position of globalized corporations. Patchwork at best. BUT — lack of clear utility and trust in AI responses don’t make it an eventuality.

👀 Will have a read! Too exhausted from toddler birthday parties tonight tho. 😅

Agree with the critique. Where I think activists struggle is providing an inclusive, compelling alternative reality — that isn’t predicated on shutting it all down. I certainly don’t have the answer, but perhaps you have the beginnings of a framework to imagine a better future?

I bought a graffiti apple! Contemplated the larger ones, but got a desk sized one in the end.
