You're not wrong about the health holding out. 63 and 62 here with a 17 year old son and renting. We're working till we die. But you can take your pension whilst you're still working which is basically a £900 per month pay rise !

My wife and I have thought long about this. We've always rented and are now still working full time but in our mid sixties. Decided it is better to have absolutely no assets at all rather than a few grand savings. This is a ticking time bomb.
