I vaguely remember a making-of video where Billy Bob was going off on the deadly creatures in his own life, personally; I think they were veiled references to his wife

I got stuck in Brandish 1 on PSP but I had a damn good time getting to that point, I felt like I was playing a weird Apple IIGS game. I wish they would have remade the second one! Or maybe I should just go in on the original hardware like a true sicko

I saw a naked board for sale at BEEP a while back and I was going crazy trying to figure what it was, I knew there was a Saturn controller adapter but the PCX2 chip was confusing the hell out of me, I was like "this isn't a NV1 or anything, why the hell is there a 3D chip on here!?"

These are awesome. I LOVED the earlier ICOM stuff (Uninvited, Deja Vu, Shadowgate). I cannot imagine how wild it must have been back in the day working on early CD-ROM stuff. Making test discs must have been abhorrently expensive, I assume they used 650MB+ hard drives as CD emulators!?

I think with all the acquisitions, Microsoft technically owns the rights to Manhunter unless the Murrays got to hold on to the rights, does anyone know?

I haven't really been able to find any more of these; Marty Goldstein is listed as the publisher. Would love to see this kind of thing pop up on archive.org, it really is an encyclopedia of 80s design sensibility.

A lot of people think 80s style was all neon and gradients, but I remember these cool stylized paintings (paging @supcat.bsky.social ) and really intricate cartoon art that would reproduce well in black and white.

I worked at Blockbuster and was quite the salesman for this POS, I constantly was renting these things out. The manager was so pleased that he wound up just giving me the old demo unit, which remains in my parents' basement

Train line building/city management game. "Lite" version of series that is nearly incomprehensible in its mainline releases.
