I was just thinking yesterday THANK GOODNESS Dutton is gone. The thought of him ranting on and on about Iran would be utterly intolerable. Ley and Hastie do not have Voldemort's dark, divisive, negative heft. They are complete non-entities. Good riddance to the spewer of hate. #auspol

Nah ! Give it shit all the shit you can muster as we go out! Sure, easy to say, but jeez wouldn't it be great if our younger tribe members saw us persevere!! Maybe they will grow some.

So let's make sure our guvment hears the noise & realises it MUST NOT fall to believing it can rejoice in its self-satisying & self-reinforcing hubris #Labor faithfull have no idea how many decades they'll be gone if they continue to fail us on climate, NDIS, genocide @australianlabor.bsky.social

We can implement a baseline of social security for everyone, that we allow no one with established need to go below. We have the system in place. The fix is simple: #RaiseTheRate #auspol

Increasing our defence spending in alignment with the U.S. means we risk getting dragged into America’s conflicts, not necessarily our own. Historically, it's been U.S.-led wars (Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam) that cost us billions and lives—not Chinese invasions.

It’s a positive move if done properly. But so often these schemes get used to limit spending and people get hurt. Our entire system and beliefs need an overhaul. For too long we’ve allowed people to be considered worthless.

I will never support Richard Marles while he’s busy being a war monger and American sycophant. Labor has seen how the public can turn on a political party so they better not be complacent and assume they have a mandate as they are in government not because they’re good, but because LNP is worse.

Conceded. I thought it was permanent in those countries.

They could achieve it simply by making the base rate of benefits the same across the board. Either way this will entail raising the rate of JobSeeker payment. #RaiseTheRate

But I totally agree, & immediately! (I have a family member, student nurse that was moved from Austudy to Jobseeker: neither is sustainable with rent, food, placements etc) What I meant is we must go further, we must have a long term plan Right now, major parties have the foresight of a gnat

What about a Universal Basic Income? Works well in Europe to combat a range of society's failures, like homelessness, crime, student poverty
