The idea of paying more to "support the devs" is fundamentally flawed, because the devs have already been paid. They don't see any royalties, and can lose their jobs even if a game is massively successful because the executives need to sell the myth of "infinite growth" to their shareholders.

i don't actually think very much of the prices of AAA video games goes to developer's salaries at all; I do believe these companies that keep firing workers for their profit could, actually, afford to both charge less and pay devs more at the same time, and that video games have always cost too much

Why get a switch 2 when you don't even own what you buy. Not their games neither the console itself. They can literally brick it if they think you do something with it. I won't support that with my money.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a definite no for me now. Nintendo saying they can remotely access your device to brick it if they see it’s modded in any capacity, as part of the user agreement in order to even play the system. And the $70-80 games are just license keys that can also be revoked.
