It is crazy how it is now impossible to know what is true in commercial computer science.

I would argue that Gemini was built in search of the mythical, FOMO, AGI being like all the others.

Global bean consumption in 2026 predicted to be 20,000 metric tons. $4 million seems REALLY low.

This is the sort of work that AI should have been built to do.

Every corner of American society is faced with the same decision. It is an easy decision to make. Capitalism pushed us here. We must push back. If we lose the College board and their ilk along the way, all the better. The decision is easy.

If they do this, it may very well mean that they won't advance their careers as elected officials. But the next wave will.

We can't have responsible politics while $$$ is as influential as it is right now. The laws need to change but that, IMHO, is not the first step. The Klobuchars and Buttigieges need to take a very stand against the current reality of two Americas.

The Squad continue to be where I place my political alegence but I also believe there should be a balance so the majority of Americans be seen themselves in their representatives. People like Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigiege are essential.

Individuals had to vote for either a profit maximizing Corporate caretaker or mythical gunslinging anti-hero.

IMHO, Clinton/Pelosi politics embraced Corporations whiched defined everyone else as employees, consumers and welfare recipients which pushed Republicans to the land of purity mythologies and the Rugged Individual Oligarchs. (Stolen roughly from Chris Hedges)

* There is no PURPOSE for LLM GenAI in the classroom. There are no proactive reasons for LLM GenAI in the classroom. The only reasons that the digitals can come up with are FOMO or defensive or vacuous, "This is the age of AI."

* It is now a robust finding that LLM GenAI limits the development of critical thinking.

* So far, it has net negative outputs where it is actually implemented with, as always in America, the majority of those negative negative outputs impact those with the least power. these out puts include death.

Agreed. I teach AP and DE. I don't because it provides the currency (grade and credit) my kids need to improve their life circumstances. The reform will not happen where I sit, many miles from the headwaters. Best I can is make sure students get paid.

Completely agree! And, to continue the metaphor, maybe Hospicing education is the best approach? We know how to do Liberatory education and we choose not to do it. Dewey, Freire, Piaget, Sen, Papert, Hammond, Love, Benjamin...

Math instruction in the US is horrible. This is the problem with this effort to destroy public education. Much of public education has already been destroyed. It's tough to defend.
