One of the people ICE re-arrested in NYC on Wednesday was a man who was previously separated from his wife and daughter in 2023.
They'd been diligently following every rule and restriction the government placed on them. None of that mattered; ICE re-arrested him anyway, again separating the family.

Spotting an undercover at a protest is a bit of an art. It takes a lot of experience.
If they're just monitoring, they will *usually* (not always) avoid dressing in overtly political or "aligned" outfits. So, usually neither black bloc nor "chud bloc".
They try to look forgettable.

Feds have a less-obvious undercover presence than local cops.
Look for:
- Loose pairs of two
- Does not interact or chant
- Stays at edge of crowd but moves around
- Keeps their back to a wall or stands in doorways
- "Silhouette change" every hour (backpack, skateboard, jacket comes or goes)

For every 10 heavily-armed tactical goons you see on the ground, there's at least one sniper positioned on a rooftop nearby, and one man or woman in plainclothes who is mixed in with the crowd.
Stay frosty. Look up and look around. There were rooftop snipers in San Diego this week.

"Sanctuary" statutes (prohibiting local police from cooperating with ICE) are largely meaningless.
When ICE wants local police cooperation, they just file a mutual aid request and check the "dangerous fugitive" checkbox rather than the "immigration detainer" checkbox.
Very easy to bypass.
