Religious studies coursework doesn't typically include statistics, social science research methods, or experience using statistical software. We expect to receive hundreds of applications and applicants without this training/experience would be less prepared for the work entailed.

Republicans perceive more discrimination against people who are: White, evangelical, men & religious. Democrats are much more likely to perceive discrimination against people who are: gay or lesbian, Black, immigrants in US legally, Hispanic, & women.

If you are trying to make as much as possible by taking many online surveys (or taking the same survey many times), you might pretend to have desirable traits in survey screener (traits of underrepresented groups) and then complete surveys as quickly as possible.

People taking surveys only for incentives may say they have the characteristics they think are more likely to qualify them for a survey. See post for more detail.

Thanks for sharing. Small note - I was confused that "Democrat" seemed to be listed under the category of religious groups. Only after reading deep into the preprint did I realize that the two lines for "Atheist/Agnostic" and "Democrat" are meant to be read together as "Atheist/Agnostic Democrat."

I’ve found the responses of journal editors to research integrity concerns to be, by and large, extremely disappointing. Many have simply brushed off concerns, without much justification or investigation of the concerns raised. Not what I would have expected before raising any concerns with editors
