This morning our local newspaper printed a story about dealing peacefully with our urban coyotes. One suggestion for exclusion was to "ensure your chicken coup is well-built." My granddaughter raises chickens. I hope the family knows that a chicken insurrection is brewing.

During COVID a health authority in Japan urged attendees of a large outdoor theme park not to scream during rides so to not spread the virus. "Scream in your hearts," he said. I have been screaming in my heart for weeks but Monday's news has made me scream out loud.

I just want everyone to know that the Northern Flickers in our neighborhood are courting and vigorous drumming has commenced on our rooftop vents. The one today moved around the vent and it's housing to create different sound effects. I hope this information eases your heart just a little.
