I think someone should grab her hair extensions and play helicopter with her.

Your post touched me so much. I remember when my dad was dying and I clipped his fingernails. There was something about this stroppy Navy pilot and Purple Heart Recipient letting me get close after all those years. Now my husband has Alzheimer's and little things he lets me do remind me of those times

I am so so sorry and outraged that you and your family were terrorized in this way. Thank you so much for posting here; I heard about it this morning and was horrified.

You reminded me of a day when I was 9 mos pregnant and our cat Cocaine Elaine (a song from the 70s) proudly brought a frisky mourning dove to me. I had to get a broom and gently coax the bird out after I flopped around like a manatee on the floor. It was... hard but funny. Dove was fine.

Sitting in my chair, feeling pretty good, making plans, getting up to go to the kitchen, taking two steps, hoping I can make it to the kitchen. Complete exhaustion.

Hi - I was hoping to sound amusing and clever but may have come off as snotty. I'm sorry. These days I am determined to not be a part of the poison. I do know about hummers - last summer I saw one actually drag another one down to the deck and do a righteous body slam! Hope yours come back. 🪷

The hummers are very small and the flicker and woodpeckers are very large.

There is nothing more vexing to someone hiding their drinking than the problem of the empties. The tinkling together of bottles (unless you carefully wrap them before discarding), the clanking of little airplane bottles in the briefcase, satchel, purse... the stress is terrible! Listen carefully.

Thank you! "As democracy is perfected, the office of President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H.L. Mencken
