wikis are always supplemental material, never primary. even if someone uses a wiki to gain interest said interest should lead to them directly engaging with the media and making their understanding from there. especially when it's way easier to find shit and see it yourself than it used to be

and if the other person ends it... that's on them. not on you. if you made an effort to keep it alive, then you did all you could. it's not your fault. you did your best. and sometimes it isn't that it "wasn't good enough" but that the other person just wasn't up for it. sucks but it happens. 🫂

can sometimes just help establish that this is response for the moment, it might not be well crafted, but you didn't want to let it hang. communication involves trial and error and frankly saying things wrong. the conversation has to keep going for it to be resolved tho.

the thing is often you can't express it properly, simply due to limitations of the feeling itself and the moment you're in. sometimes it helps to just state "i am not trying to excuse this, but i am processing and this is difficult". it's not always receptive to the other person but admitting that--

Every serious, long term IRL activist I know makes a conscious effort to interject levity and entertainment into their lives. Being constantly miserable is the path to burnout and it’s frankly terrible for recruitment and retention.
