requires bureaucracy that we don't have money or structure for at a state level.

I genuinely applaud your positive outlook but in my view the interim damages can be really considerable, especially if govt manages to further penalize bringing suits upon itself while simultaneously foisting costs onto the state. Even tracking discrepancies between plaintiffs and member states 1/2

It absolutely is a win for him. Essentially he can continue to violate the constitution everywhere that isn't represented by a suit even if multiple courts deemed him to be violating the constitution. Much damage can be before a suit is filed and govt seeks to penalize suitbringers monetarily.

I really wish the headline mentioned this is data ending at 2020. Still relevant, but misleading in this context.

The.. was it 12? bombs dropped on Iran were larger/more powerful than any bombs dropped in history aside from nuclear, I believe. There are a number of differences legality wise if you'd like me to explain. I'm not a fan of what Obama did either though.

I’m a Brit that over 25 years lived in Brazil, Philippines, Thailand, China and Singapore - the man in the street everywhere you go IS THE SAME, with the same hopes and needs. Yet somehow, we’ve let a handful of crazy, fucking small dick criminals spread their death, all for self-preservation 😡

I think it's only a slight expansion of precedent/already eroding rules about this stuff. Unfortunately. He has something like 60 days overall and 48 hours to make a statement, as well as having to notify Congress. He didn't "declare war", but they'll say it's like B Obama w Libya or similar.

My thoughts too. Strong military action in general tends to make people nervous to criticize due to not wanting to seem unpatriotic. No one wants to be the guy who is wrong in a climate where people are being punished and the admin is deliberately making things more and more confused

How would it realistically save even one person
Either ice is there and knows who theyve captured or not
Or ice isn't there and there was no threat
People need to think realistically if there's to be any chance of improvement

Did he formally declare war? Pretty sure all he has to do is communicate with Congress within 48 hours.

What on earth would that help?
-it would scare immigrants who didn't know beforehand
-it wouldn't stop ice (because ice would know whether or not they had a raid scheduled)
-it would cause a lot of people to needlessly panic and sow disinformation

Resident of buncombe county NC here. Was helped by fema and tried hard to dispel the ridiculous and bizarre social media misinformation campaigns that were occurring just before the election. Fema are good people.

My teen and her friends adore you so thought I'd share this quote from my daughter on discord a minute ago after she sent me your show pics: "I LOVE her! She is such an ICON! Diva has her own life without being stuck in Elon's shadow. Let a woman have fun and tell her truth!"
