If I have understood the SC ruling correctly, the Bill would have needed to be rewritten to include trans women by describing them without using the word "women".

It is indeed terrifying! Every car driver I have spoken to is well aware of the decrease in the population of flying insects, and yet the news media continues to ignore the reduction of biodiversity.

Yes indeed! So it is morally, although not legally, mass murder.

Why was black once again chosen to represent a negative outcome and white a positive one? The decision may have been taken long ago, but, in my opinion, it needs to be revised.

What PR does is to make it highly unlikely that one party can make all the decisions ("strong man syndrome"). The leading party almost always has to compromise with some other party. Thus a larger number of voters are represented in the decision taking.

Personally, I think that the split would not be as extreme as in the redistribution of the Green votes. It is probable that some traditional centrist Conservative voters might well not be redistributed to Reform.

Under PR there are no by-elections, whereas under AV one can assume that almost all the green votes would have been redistributed to Labour.

Wikipedia says: A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack occurs when multiple systems flood the bandwidth or resources of a targeted system, usually one or more web servers. A DDoS attack uses more than one unique IP address or machines, often from thousands of hosts infected with malware.

Critical thinking is also necessary to interpret replies from ChatGPT. There are many errors supplied by ChatGPT, because it does not seem to be equipped with the programming needed to distinguish between truth and other writings such as sarcasm, hyperbole, lies, disproved theories, etc.

Yes, but only the House of Representatives can impeach the President.

It does not seem to me to be appropriate to measure the amount of science information by the number of posts. Are there any studies that attempt to quantify the quality and not just the quantity of posts and their engagement?

Surely, if funding for health research is cut, then not only money and jobs will be lost, but also lives. Is there any estimate of the impact on reduced health?

There are quite rightly laws against monopolies which could and should be enforced.

The biggest flaw in stamp duty is that it is a tax on downsizing, but it is also a tax on all other types of housing flexibility. Why is something that should be encouraged being taxed?
comment in response to post
If the tax were a percentage of the value of any property, it would be taxing rich people, who own more properties and high value properties, much more than the poor. The details of the implementation of such a tax would be extremely important.
comment in response to post
It seems to me to be a very fair tax because much of the value of a home is dependent on facilities provided by the government and the local council. Stamp duty is, on the other hand, 'bonkers' because it taxes geographical flexibility and flexibility in the size of one's home.

Landlords are already charging as much as the market is allowing them to charge, and they would like to pass the cost onto the tenants but would be unable to do so.

What is the justification for a ceiling?

I thought that Covid-19 can cause lung damage that is not picked up by the traditional x-ray diagnosis.

I am looking forward to this new layout.

So, why is it not possible that this was done by someone deliberately?
comment in response to post
Whenever I read a news story that something has happened accidentally, I wonder how it can be so certain that it was really an accident, but in this case all journalists have accepted that it was an accident, and the government has apparently found someone to claim that they made a mistake.
comment in response to post
I disagree. Personally, I think it is good to keep as quiet as possible about closing tax loopholes until they are law. If this were to be more highlighted, it would be more difficult to avoid the rich squealing about it and trying to block such proposals.

StoryGraph was recommended to me by two Twitch streamers, and I love it. However, I was unsuccessful in uploading my data from the app I was using before (beginning with G), and I failed to persuade a family member to use it because they had the same difficulties.

It is time for other countries to increase their funding in biomedical research!

18 is the number of senators who voted against him. Since 79 senators voted for him, I think that 26 dems voted for him.

The word "jab" is much shorter than the word "injection", and I have been using both terms to mean the same for several decades. Have I missed something?

There is nothing preventing him from reversing it with an act of Congress.

Is this an opinion or an almost universally accepted definition? Wikipedia states that it is the most frequent definition, but I was unable to read the references given to back up that statement. Wikipedia is also free and is generally more reliable than Google when seeking facts.
