Why was he absolutely fine with it until he and Trump had a falling out ?

Yes. And this antidemocratic agenda is precisely what Musk threw his weight and money behind.

The election was nothing more than a scheme to get Trump off the hook for the criminal cases against him and to place him above the law. It was an assault on democracy and Musk threw his weight behind it. Musk is antidemocratic to the core.

And it’s not even that covert. All played out in full sight of the world.

Spot on. Neither of them should be anywhere near power and it is indeed an indictment of the system that they’ve ended up at the top

Musk says Trump would have lost the election without him. He might well have done. And the only point of the election was to put Trump above the law and beyond accountability. Utterly contemptible that Musk spent so much money and energy into that happen.

The whole election was just a conspiracy to get Trump the ultimate get out of jail free card and put him above the law. He certainly should be impeached. But Musk and Vance were his accomplices.

Musk says shame on those who voted for Trump’s bill? Shame on Musk for pumping enormous amounts of money and energy into getting a man elected solely so he could escape criminal proceedings and place himself above the law and in a position to implement his antidemocratic agenda .

But also DO attack him. Starmer hasn’t really done that because the best lines of attack are Brexit and Trump and Starmer won’t say a bad word about either because he’s been completely cowed by the rising specter of the far right

Spot on except I’m not sure the Tories were running an experiment to fend off Farage. The Tories who hijacked the party under Johnson and led it further to the right were more than happy to go in that direction

He also cares about Donald Trump and that’s a good argument against him. Labour sadly won’t make that argument because they’ve pegged their own fortunes to Trump.
