Let's be fair. Maybe all these women and their spas got together to conspire against this man for no individual gain but because... reasons. Maybe it's not true!

And when they charge that CRT is being taught in schools. "Oh yeah? Sounds scary. What do you mean?"

Someone always ruins it for the rest of us.

I loved this podcast. Streak culture is really toxic to me. I had to delete Duolingo because of the constant pressure campaign. I really wanted to learn a language, but I just don't have zero days off in me.

I use that word just as much as I want and have for years now. (I don't want or need to use that word because I'm not an asshole.)

Bluesky kinda sucks. You should go back to threads. It's still fine over there. This place will eventually let you down too. Just go back to threads. lol

Maybe I should go to protest.

Is this like @reckless.bsky.social and the Brother printer? Isn't this just another AI post recommending the Beats Fit Pro and leaving it at that? 😆

I found the Christopher Reeve ones to be great when I was still an actual kid in the 80s, but they don't hold up great, except for nostalgia.

1. Foxing – Foxing This one floored me. Foxing’s self-titled record somehow redefined the band while also sounding like they’ve finally settled into exactly who they are. Tracks like "Hell 99" and "Greyhound" aren’t just songs; they’re experiences.

2. MJ Lenderman – Manning Fireworks I didn’t expect to love this as much as I do. MJ Lenderman brings wit and depth in equal measure, with songs like "She’s Leaving You" blending melancholy and humor in a way that felt effortless. I couldn’t stop playing it

3. Los Campesinos! – All Hell It’s wild that a band this far into their career can drop what might be their best record yet. This one feels like a victory lap through everything they’ve ever done well—snarky lyrics, massive hooks, and moments of real emotional weight.

4. Knocked Loose – You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To If you’re looking for something that hits hard and doesn’t let up, this is it. It’s a masterclass in hardcore precision and energy, with "Suffocate" standing out as one of the most relentless tracks I heard all year.

5. Pearl Jam – Dark Matter I can’t pretend nostalgia didn’t play a role here, but even setting that aside, Dark Matter was a massive return to form. The songs feel built to last, with "Setting Sun" already feeling like a classic.

6. Wild Pink – Dulling the Horns This one took a while to grow on me, but once it did, it didn’t let go. Wild Pink’s understated style draws you in quietly but leaves a lasting impression. Seeing them live sealed the deal for me—this is one of the year’s hidden gems.

7. Infant Island – Obsidian Wreath Lush, heavy, and alive, this album filled a void I didn’t know I had. It’s expansive and emotional, and every listen feels like uncovering a new layer.

8. Southtowne Lanes – Take Care Sometimes an album doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel—it just needs to do what it does really, really well. Take Care feels like comfort food for anyone who grew up on emo and post-hardcore, and it hit me right where I live.

9. Waxahatchee – Tiger’s Blood I know Waxahatchee isn’t for everyone, but this album worked for me in a big way. The melodies, the storytelling—it all comes together beautifully on Tiger’s Blood. youtu.be/wVsDi-ZuRcM
